    way too expensive

Way too much money for what you get. I've had the same quality of food at other places for 1/2 the price. I only saw 1 chicken entree on the menu. Even the pizza's are close to $30 per pie. CRAZY!! So not worth it! I live in Astoria where the restaurants are so much better and the portions more substantial. I understand it's Manhattan but I have eaten in the city so many times and have been impressed with other restaurants. Don't go. And if you do, expect to pay your left arm and right leg!!

    wait wait wait

Sat at the bar Saturday evening. We waited 1 hour 10 minutes for our entrees. Food was awful. Pizza greasy and baby artichokes were full-grown and fibrous. Service was non existent. This place used to be one of our favorite neighbohood spots where we would always be remembered and welcomed. Now, they change the menu every couple of months, like they do with every one of Shelley Firemen's restaurants, They've lost all of their good hosts and waiters and the place is way overpriced for what you get. We're not returning.

So Not Worth The Money or Time

I can't figure out what was worse - the food, the service or the prices. The veal was like cardboard, the asparagus was chewy and oily and the soup was greasy. This used to be a very nice restaurant but no longer. It took forever to get the food, service was chaotic, when we asked the hostess if she could please see where our order was, we were basically ignored. I would not recommend this place.

Ugggghh (minus the open faced Lasagna)

We had a 5:30 reservation for 4, arrived and seated on time, and that was about the only good thing besides the lasagna. We ordered one antipasto appetizer at 6:00 and our entree's at the same time. We FINALLY got our food at 7:30 and we had an 8pm show, that we were just able to make. The waiter never once apologized for the long wait time for the food, and kept making empty promises on when we would get our food. The food was good, but not great and not worth how expensive it was. It was extremely stuffy, and the seating was too close for comfort, we were on top of the tables to our right and left. No thanks...

    Crowded and ridiculously expensive

My husband and I dined at Fiorello last Friday night. We had a 6pm reservation and when we arrived, the place was packedunusual at that hour for New York. It was absolutely a pre-theater crowdwe're in our late 20s and we were the youngest people there by an average of 20 years. It felt strangely like a Carmine's or other Times Square tourist hangoutthe priority was turning over the tables, and once she took our order, our waitress disappeared until we stopped her to ask for the check. It is extremely crowdedso much so that squeezing between our table and the next to use the ladies' room got me uncomfortably close to our neighbors. The food was so-soI LOVED my open-faced lasagna but my husband wasn't crazy about his pizza. It was the thinnest-crust pizza I've ever seen, so not everyone's style. The food is also very expensivethe appetizer/antipasto bar sounds intriguing but for $18 I got 3 spears of asparagus, a tiny slice of quiche, and two slices of roasted peppers. Outrageous! Even the simple pasta dishes were in the $20s....So, I'm glad we went to cross it off our list but I doubt we'll be back.

not sure it's worth the money

The food is reasonably good (check out especially the appetizer bar), but the place is pretentious to the point of obnoxiousness. Yes, you do get to seat and watch people going to Lincoln Center, but the price you pay for it is pretty stiff. Better deals nearby.
