Much more than a great location

I used to think of Fiorello as one of those "teflons" - they have a great location and their food didn't have to be more than just okay. In fact, Fiorello has now become a destination of its own for me. I really love the antipasto bar - it's perfect to share seven selections with a friend for lunch. Their pastas are fresh and delicious (favorites are the baked agnolotti with it's delicious parmesan sauce, and the hand-rolled "penne") Their thin-crusted pizzas are another delicious sharing item. The outside tables are among the best on the UWS. Great people watching from an elegant outdoor environment. Fiorello's is also very accomodating of children, which I value, in a way that does not bother other diners, which I also value. I do find that a meal winds up being a little more expensive than I like for an everyday lunch or dinner, but I do think of Fiorello's often not only for Lincoln Center events but also for meeting friends on the UWS. A very good restaurant, for a lot of reasons.

    Poor service

The service was very poor. I can't say more, my friend and I waited for over an hour for our meal and when it came it didn't come close to what we thought would come for that kind of price. Fillt the water, ask for another drink? Bring the bread that every other table has? Some simple rules to providing a pleasant meal...

    An English Couple's Dream

We found this restaurant on the last day of our visit to New York last September and have been dreaming of the thin pizzas ever since. We have just been back twice-for Sunday brunch and another pizza-and it was no illusion, this restaurant will now be part of every New York holiday. The food is good and the staff are helpful and welcoming. We look forward to next time.

    Divine Italian

We travel to NYC several times a year and always manage to eat at Caf? Fiorello's at least once a year. Always superb food and service. Their antipasto is fabulous, as is everything we've had from the menu. Love the thin crust pizza. Plan ahead, this place gets busy, as well it should be with such tasty food and exquisite presentation. During the summer who doesn't want to sit outside and eat...a fun time for all. If you're looking for a quiet romantic spot, this isn't the place though. They pack 'em in and you will not have much privacy at your table. Enjoy! Well worth your time.

    Molto bene!

This place could rest on its laurels since it's right across the street from the Lincoln Center, but fortunately, they decided to do things right. Food is great, try something from the amazing antipasti bar, or try the incredible pizza. Portions are good for the amount you pay -- not too much, not skimpy. Quality ingredients are used in all cases. Great atmosphere, beautiful to look at, attentive and sincere service. I wish I was still around the corner so I could go back right now.

A little piece of Italy in NYC

We had a fantastic time and the service was as good as the food.

Amazing! After attending a showing of The View, I got a chance to ask Meredith Vieiera a question and I asked to suggest a good place to go to lunch close by and Cafe Fiorello was one. My ladies and I checked it out and were more than satisfied. Delicious food, great service, and such a warming, comfortable atmosphere. Strongly recommended for outside lunch-in's and a quick meal when not a lot of time is on hand. Not a bad looking staff either!
