    Consistently Very Good

This is one of the better places on the UES for classic Chinese the food is fresh and clean and there are many excellent dishes like the Egg Fu Yung, noodles (tried the cold sesame, lo mein and chow fun so far), crispy fried wonton and the roast pork buns. I would give the lesser rating of very good to the chow mein, crispy prawns with peppered corn salt and the wonton soup.

    Excellent for UES

I can only comment on my muliple experiences, but i disagree with the earlier comment about the managemnet. I have been ordering delivery and dine-in at cafe evergreen for the last 4 years and i have recieved nothing but very good and well above average chinese food (excellent for the UES). But mainly the staff there have always been super helpful and very friendly! I personally believe the problem with the last reviewer was the reviewer. Food is great for UES chinese, and service and hospitality is superb!

    BAD MANAGEMENT!

Arrogant discourteous Manager....asked for no ginger...was served ginger...he refused to accept responsibility and was rude and insulting. He made a rude statement about ALL Americans trying to "get away with no paying bill"....we paid our check and walked out!

    YUM

I worked in the neighborhood but had never been in here since last week. I have already gone back for another meal. This is the best Chinese on the UES.

    Been loving it for years!

This place is great. Since it opened 10 (or so) years ago, I've been coming here for great Chinese food. Everybody in my family agrees it's top notch and can't be beat. True, it's a bit on the pricey side but, with this quality of food, it's totally worth it. Their baby shrimp rolls are particularly tasty. I give this place as many thumbs up as possible. Eat here now!

    Not Bad

Since moving to the UES I've tried a couple of Chinese places and this place is far better than China Fun or Asia Grill. I don't order anything too out of the ordinary stuff so for me this place was the best I've has so far. Got the sesame chicken and fried rice which were both very good. Actually, come to think of it, the sesame chicken was the best I 've has in a while.

    Not authentic, No talent

For those of you who know what Ma-Po tofu is, this place should win an award on 'Worst' Ma-Po tofu. So dissapointing that I will not try any other dishes.
