Just Right for Our Family Celebration
This experience was the perfect way to finish off our annual family gathering! greeted warmly and seated right away (party of 9). large portions perfect for sharing and great value for the money. basic decor added to an authentic feeling. polite and pleasant wait staff, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere made for a fun dining experience. parking was no problem...but then we were in a stretch limo! We would DEFINITELY go back! (next time we want to get the lobster...which looked delicious!)

Always a good time!
Immediately upon arrival into Café Espanol you are welcomed by the sound of cheerful Spanish music accompanied by the blending of margaritas and the mixing of their heavenly sangria. Café Espanol’s attitude suggests you leave your cares at the door and enjoy a drink, tasty food and great company. The staff and owner are without fail friendly, accommodating and eager to please. The food is festive, bountiful and delicious, not once has anything I ordered not lived up to my expectations. The atmosphere is a concoction of comfort, liveliness and neighborhood brewed with true Spanish flare. Whether out with family, friends or date, Espanol is the place.

shabby setting and stale tasting food
I recently went to cafe espanol and the experience was very mediocre to kinda bad.... The restaurant itself looks tired. Needs a decor update desperately, along with a menu revamping. The dishes seemed very boring. Not to mention, my shrimp was stringy and old tasting. I won't be going back....

Nice place and a good price!
Went here two years ago and have been back at least once a month ever since. Food is very good, large portions. It is a busy place, with several of the neighborhood people returning often. Staff are polite and service is very good. The atmosphere is what you make it.

try this place on week day nights
so many spanish restaurnts a pretentious. this place doest strike a trendy pose. it maintains some old-fashioned new-york spanish cliches such as serving corn chips and uninspired salads. they are complementary however. this generosity is very genuinely spanish as in spain.-- even these offerings aren,t very sapnish. the seafood is dependably fresh., the sangria is agreat value(OFTEN SERVED WITH A SPLASHOF LICOR 41). the service is professional and genial. ists a deal and its good, so go.
