Cafe Enduro (CLOSED)

I was so happy when this place opened in my neighborhood, as we'd been lacking a good restaurant/bar 'round these parts. I was taken here on a date my first time here, and was pleasantly surprised. The food is excellent and the (red) sangrias commendable. Their brunch menu is just what the hangover Dr. ordered ;) When it;s busy, it's busy---expect to wait a bit (~10-15 mins) to get your food. I highly recommend coming later when the kiddies are more likely not to be there; the atmosphere was duly ruined by some uncontrollable rugrats :/

Well, as my night looks to be busy and I wanted some local food that was close by. I called (and called and called) to place a take-out order but never got anyone to answer the phone, much less take my order. I guess I will never know how their food is, as the service already leaves enough to be desired that I will never give them any of my money. There are a couple of other small local restaurants that are perfectly happy and willing to take my money.

Enduro has a great local vibe with friendly and nice staff. Their quesadilla with chicken mole is wonderful and the guacamole is some of the best in the city. For those who don’t live nearby Enduro and don’t know about this place, it is definitely worth a visit to Prospect-Lefferts for some great Mexican food.

I loved Enduros. It was that neighborhood place that you felt comfortable and were guaranteed great food. Food is still great. Bartender is still charming and welcoming... however, their hosts, leave a lot to desire. First time bad encounter, I sucked it up and just enjoyed the incompetence... this past weekend, I was again greatly disappointed. My friends and I waited for 40min for a table, being told it would only be 15 max. Sipped drinks at the bar and waited for a table. When we approached the host for some choices over what was available since we were waiting that long, he was rude and dismissive. You're suppose to feel welcome in this place. I'm here to eat food, laugh, and enjoy how close to home I am. This is a local joint that is chill and people enjoy, he shattered that idea.

The people here are always super nice. The food is great, and so is the sangria!

The brunch menu here is SOOO good, never been disappointed. The poached eggs with spinach and chipotle hollandaise sauce is to die for. During brunch, they have 3 $5 drinks which are also pretty awesome. Regular menu is also good, although free salsa and chips would be nice.

What can you say? NYC Mexican (Cali people you know what I'm talking about) with less than pleasant service, and mediocre food. Only acceptable cause there's nothin' else around.
