too expensive
If you love La Esquina in SoHo, you won't be disappointed eating here. They did an amazing job adding all the outdoor space in the back to sit and eat after you order your tacos, and the addition of a full bar is awesome. But seriously, $4 for 1 taco is just ridiculous! The tacos aren't even authentic but instead NYCs version of Mexican. For the value, the best thing is the chips and salsa since you can take the jar of salsa home!

La Esquina Brooklyn delights
Having been a huge fan of the La Esquina secret downstairs eatery in SoHo for years, I was really excited to hear that it was coming to my Williamsburg Hood. La esquina does not dissapoint and even though it is was very crowded on the weeknight I went, the crew was friendly and fun - the atmosphere convivial, hip and tres-Manhattan - but in a good way. Definitely no "bridge and tunnel" here. Really delicious salsa ( which you can take home) and fantastic Tacos, Steaks and Fish ( the monkfish rocked). A classic for the hood. Maybe this is the baltahzar of Williamsburg?
