great service and very tasty
I ate there today with my wife and two children. The place was very busy. Nevertheless, the service was very fast and polite. The portions were generous and very tasty. We were very pleased. We would certainly return.

Cold
I was at first surprised to see that despite its prime location, the cafe was empty. But after quite a few minutes of waiting for my food, I understood why. Firstly, when I asked my waitress exactly what meat was going to be in my burger since you never really know in restaurants today. (it didn't say in the menu), she said in a cold tone of voice, meat of course. WTH?! Chicken or beef?! Finally, we ordered & waited quite a while for it. While we were waiting, my friend & I decided to go wash our hands. Unsure where to go, I accidentally walked toward the first sink I saw, only to be told quite rudely the sink I was supposed to wash my hands at was on the other side of where I was. Also, my friend specifically asked to keep certain vege's out of the burger. But instead of listening, they were still right there on the plate. And when we saw there was Wifi in the place, our waitress, again coldly, replied she did not know the password. (There was no I am unsure of our policy, let me find out, hold on a moment please.) It was the cold shoulder again. In middle of our meal, another waiter came with our bill. We were not even finished eating and already the bill?! Thank G-d my friend had cash on hand, because I didn't and although every other cafe, restaurant or coffee house I have been to, accepts Credit Cards, they don't. Other than the cold shoulder from those working at Cafe Classico, the food was decent. I would have liked to see more of a variety of dressings as options for the burgers, in or out of the kitchen, but that is not something I am going to complain about. I am not sure I would want to go there again. The slow service, the cold shoulders, and being that food just hits the decent mark, makes it all not worth it. Seems like there's potential though...nice place, great location...seems clean...

avoid
A pastrami sandwich - the bread is thick and stale, the pastrami dry, and although I asked twice, I still think it was corned beef. The service was completely indifferent, including leaving water glasses empty for most of the meal. Avoid this place

Good food, poor service
After having similar experiences the last 5 or so times I ordered/picked up from here, I decided to share them. Service is poor. When calling for pickup or delivery, the regular person who takes the order is always, always rude. He'll cut you off and get annoyed when you ask simple questions like which side dishes come with the dinner meals. Delivery times are up to an hour sometimes, too. If I pick up instead, the food is never ready when the person who took the order says it will be, I've had to wait an extra 25 minutes in the past. And even when this happens, the staff is STILL rude! The food is good, but service will absolutely leave a bad taste in your mouth.

boycott
I work two buildings away and it's my only way to eat kosher meat for lunch. The service is so poor, my colleagues and I decided to boycott the restaurant. They are consistently late and really rude. Every day, a new story. Food is just ok and of course pricey. Stay away! Find something else!

Shocking rude staff
Just come out of there and so upset i am reviewing it right away. The place was virtually empty (arrived 8:15pm) and were seated by a waiter who didnt really say anything. I called him over to ask for water. Sitting for 5 minutes chatting with my friend who i haven't seen in years we were approached 4 times for our order! They didn't have the stuffed mushrooms i asked for but was told its basically the same as the mini meatballs just with the mushrooms! Caesar salad arrived. Plain lettuce leaves with a slice of toasted baguette and a dressing (def not caesar) on the side. Complete joke. in the middle of eating the salad(?) the waiter comes to say that the mains are ready can he bring them. So rude! Wasnt interested in arguing wi th him so i told him to bring them. The salad was not very nice anyway as it tasted like a bottled dressing so i said i was finished with it and gave it back. Having taken it he turns and tells me to take my fork out of the bowl to use for the next course!!! We ate the mains which were ok. He then puts the bill on the table and tells us how we can pay the tips! We put all the money on the table and were talking for a bit more when he leans over to take the money. He then tells us they are closing now as he folds away table cloths. I looked and saw it was 9:30 and they close at 10! We just walked out after that. we will never return.

such a dissapointment...
I work in the area, and this is the closest kosher restaurant for me, so for the convenience of it, I have gone there quite a few times. First of all, the prices are a bit high, even for Midtown. The service, however is where they're really lacking. On numerous occasions, I have had to argue with the waiters in order to pay credit card. Sometimes they let and other times not, which is technically illegal of them. The waiters are not particularly nice, and although coming up to the table once or twice to check if everything is ok would be perfectly acceptable, some times when I am there, I almost feel like telling the waiter to pull up a chair and join the conversation since he is constantly interrupting our meal anyway. I've had times where the waiter will come up to the table 7+ times during the course of a meal-mostly for no reason at all. It's extremely annoying, and makes it seem like they're trying to rush us out (even though the place is usually deserted). I have taken co-workers there for business meetings, and many of them have commented on this, wondering if this is the norm for kosher restaurants. If they got their act together staff-wise, the place has real potential-their food is good (sushi is really good), but like I said, the staff is a HUGE turnoff.
