First of all the food was fair at best with lackuster flavor in the appetizers. Second of all, the entrees took an extra long time in arriving at our table; at which point they were overcooked and cold. The service was mediocre, and only up to par once the restaurant realized their reputation was at stake. Although the value of the food was pretty reasonable, it did not make up fro the fact that the quality of both the food and the waitstaff was less than acceptable.

We were able to make it to the last Saturday night of the winter fondue menu this March and we are so glad we did - it was worth it. The prix-fixe was of good value and was yummy! We were each able to get a different fondue (one meat, one cheese) and there was more than enough food to dip and cook - we were stuffed! The wine selection was affordable and a delicious accompaniment to the meal. Delicious chocolate fondue rounded out the evening perfectly. It was a pleasure to dine at Cafe Centro.

What a find! Good food in a comfortable atmosphere. Unexpected for a "station" restaurant.

I live in the Hudson River Valley and find myself ever content to take the escalator up to Cafe Centro and never hit the streets of the city. This is a gorgeous restaurant, comfortable and hospitable, with great food. It always reminds me of my old New York of the 1950's--solid and sweet. It has become my favorite dining destination.

Everything aside, Cafe Centro is the best dine-out experience I have ever had. Kudos to Executive Chef Franck Deletrain for his mastery of the culinary arts.
