Mostly, my concern for entering a cafe is the atmosphere more than the food. I like to just sit in a nice place and relax and chat. The place has an upstairs which is quite interesting. However, I had a chicken sandwhich that costed $9 (which is quite normal for SOHO) but still more expensive than it's actually worth. It didn't quite taste so good in my opinion. The bread was way too hard and hurt my teeth to chew. Maybe the other sandwhiches will be better. Who knows? The coffee was average. Go there if you don't care about taste of the food as much but want a cute place to chill.

I've been on and off with this place for almost a decade now. I'm not sure if its them or my standards that are changing. For one, the place is pretty pricey. Their snacks and espresso-based drinks are ok, but not a great value. Their drip coffee doesn't rank any better than an average deli (weak/dirty water flavor). It certainly doesn't compare favorably to the truly great coffee places in the city like Mud and Joe and several others. They also close pretty early. The only thing that keeps me coming here is convenience (they are literally across the street from my office). The atmosphere is really cool. I used to love hanging out drinking coffee and enjoying a spinach salad.
