    Surprise!

Great food! Very great place for a quiet meal and thoughtfully prepared dishes, such as red snapper with beans, steamed shrimp dumplings, nice wine and sticky rice for dessert. Eat in the back yard!

    Quaint

good food at fair prices if you like Asian food. the waiters are very attentive. In the warm weather you get to sit in their lovely garden, or inside where it's a bit tight but ok.

    Fantastic

I live in the neighborhood and typically enjoy the food (and the value) at Cafe Asean. I'm always recommending it to people! But I ordered delivery from there last night (for the first time) and found it very disappointing! The tofu and vegetable curry

    Fabulous!

This place has remained eternally true to its Asean roots, but wished it offered some Filipino cuisine as well. The ambience and esoteric music is great and calming, with the frendliest waitstaff you would find in Manhattan. Simply, "De-li-cioussss!"

    Love this place but

I was there a few years ago and recently I dropped by as I was just curious whether it is still as good. My verdict is that the food is less authentic and more Americanized unfortunately! I missed the pungent smell of strong herbs and spices which real M
