    I love it here!

I love this place, it is very chill and I think the wait staff is friendly. I like the salmon bagel stick and the hot cocoa. Someone else wrote the hot cocoa is to die for and they are absolutely right. It is the best place to just get a little snack and watch people.

Great First Date Spot ... and Amazing Hot Cocoa

This is a great 'let's meet for coffee' date spot. It is not usually too crowded. The hot cocoa is amazing. The staff is a bit snotty... but overall I can't complain. It's not the best place for a meal (mediocre food) but coffee, cocoa and tea are decent.

    I Louuvve it !

My fiance and I went shopping in Greenwich Village while on vacation from California and we came across this charming cafe, we ordered an apricot walnut scone, salmon bagel sticks and two cappucinos, this was so yummy, the coffee was delicious. It's fun looking out the front window to people watch as well, I would recommend this cafe, and I'm looking forward to it on our next trip to New York.

    Best macchiato in the city

I have been all over New York City searching for the perfect macchiato since I got here 2 years ago... the Upper East and West Sides, Morningside, East/West Villages, Park Slope, Heights, etc. This place is the best: perfect espresso, not too much milk, served in a concave cup that keeps it warm for at least 15 minutes. The desserts are to die for, the atmosphere cannot be improved upon, and the service is decent for a European style cafe (if you have every been to Europe you will know what to expect). I have not ordered an actual meal here yet but if you are looking for pastries and coffee I definitely recommend it.

Great food, big prices, nice staff

Although I lived uptown, I always choose to go down to the Village to Cafe Angelique as much as possibly could. I loved going late in the evening and having the most perfect omlete (they serve it with chive butter) and sitting next to windows and reading a good book and watch the people stroll by.

    Overpriced / poor service

The service is very hit or miss, with the latter prevailing. The food isn't bad, but certainly overpriced.

    Great time had by All

I found the place to be charming and the waitstaff very fun and helpfull. They made my food seem even better. The French Toast is the best in the city.
