Amazing spinach and artichoke pizza
Loved the spinach and artichoke pizza so much I bought it two days in a row. The guys are sweet who work behind the counter. Little pricey - my slice was $4.95. They definitely need to fix the AC. It was toasty in there. One more suggestion...please make the veggie pizzas separate from the pizzas with meat for your vegetarian customers.

Attitude
People behind the counter at Cafe Amore's definitely need an attitude adjustment. I ordered lasagne to go and the man behind the counter yelled "brrrrreeeeeeed"? with such a heavy accent I didn't understand - so I said "to go" and he shouted "bread" again, I asked for garlic powder, hot pepper flakes & extra sauce, and he pointed to the counter on the other side of the service area and said; you get it over there; in other words, "do it yourself" - I was holding two shoulder bags, full of purchases and 2 handbags - I brought over the condiments, sprinkled them on, he bagged the purchase, barely wrapped the bread, it was hanging out of the foil wrapper. I went to the cashier who looked at me at 3pm and sai d"yes?" And I said I'm wsaiting for lasagne, as the guy marched down and handed it to her; she said "$9.75" and I said "here's $20" and she took it, handed me the change and went back to playing with whatever was in her hand(s). I said to her, "do I have to come around there to get it or will you hand it to me" and she said "it' right here" (on her left side, the counter rim behind the glass partiition. I went around the counter, scooped it up and left the place. Not one please, thank you, or may I help you did I hear. I'll probably never go back.

Really needs some help
The food is good. Maybe a little on the overdone side, but still good. Especially because it's local and they have more than just pizza. However, the customer service is not good. Just flat out. Both when ordering in person and over the phone. They won't make exceptions. They are rude, and either hard of hearing or don't understand English (probably more the latter, or both). They are also under staffed and the phone rings off the hook. The restaurant looks a little shabby, bordering on dirty. If it weren't for the fact that it's local and they deliver, this restaurant wouldn't survive.

They actually charged me for extra sauce! The owner is definitly nickel and diming which I deplore. Watch out for the rubber mushrooms. And the bathroom needs gut reno!

Subpar, overpriced pizza
I wouldn't mind paying 2.50 for a slice of pizza if it were good, but the pizza here is bland and unappetizing. The only reasons they're still in business is because of their location near the subway and Stuy, and because of a lack of decent competitors nearby.

Mmmmmmmm.
By far my favorite pizza place in the village. A little pricey, but I've never been less than happy with what I order. Crusts are thick and cheese-filled and the white slices are just fab. (Their white 'n mushroom is one of my favorites) There is nothing special about the atmosphere, it's a little dirty and dingy on the inside. The staff aren't exactly "rude" per se, but they aren't the most accommodating people around either. At Amore's you should always know what you want because people tend to get ticked off if you spend too much time trying to decide. It's all very matter-of-fact - go there, order, get it and pay.

nice crust
great crust on the pizza slices, if they keep them in the oven long enough.
