Sorely Lacking in Flavor
The food at this place is underspiced and timid. It seemed like a lack of flavor was the order of the day. The veggies and meats were non descript and lacked the complexity that is so inherent to this cuisine. Another unpardonable sin was the injera bread. It had a overwhelming sourness that detracted from the meal. We wish we could write a positive review but alas, the food failed on all levels.

Authentic Ethiopian Cuisine.
Great food, great ambiance, and service with a smile to boot. I had a great time with the down home feel of cafe Addis. I also liked the art work display (fine, photographs) on the wall, The theme of Ethiopia is all around, the food in particular is hearty and authentic Ethiopian cuisine, unlike the more fashionable conventional franchise type run of the mill recent adaptions.

Tasteless and Slow
There was no upside to my meal at Cafe Addis. The restaurant was empty, but it still took 45 minutes for my meal to arrive. When it did, it was a disappointment. Not only were the portions small, the food was not authentic Ethiopian. I have never before received an Italian salad on my injera, and I hope I never do again.
