Favorite Salad/sandwich place
This review is rating it within its category of what it is: a sandwich/deli/diner kinda place. With that said, Cafe 71 is by far my favorite place for quick salads and wraps. The ingredient are always fresh, with a large variety, and at a much cheaper price than the competitors. The staff is very friendly, especially the little guy usually behind the cash register. The owner is often there and is also friendly. The pizza however is not so great...not terribly bad, but not great, I feel like its been sitting for too long; and sometimes the pastry items can be dry and stale, its a hit or miss for the pastries. This is definitely a place you want to go to for a 'pick your own' salad, wraps, or a cheap cup of coffee. Great selection of salad dressings, too.

Maybe you shouldn't order London Broil at a diner. That might solve your problem.

Customer is always wrong
Ordered one of the evening specials-london broil. impossible to cut let alone eat-sinewy throughout. spoke quietly to owner and he said i wasn't pressing hard enough with my knife on the meat and anyway the meat quality varies with the shipments they get. refused to exchange it even for a lesser priced item
