    Best Pizza

Cafe 31 has the best thin crust pizza. It is truly addictive. We work nearby and have lunch here often. It is an excellent restaurant.

Best meal in NYC for under $20

I liked this place prior to the renavation. The food has always been excellent but the atmoshere - old sport bar at best. However today it has an upscale look with a sports bar feel - perfect for this area and is a great place to meet prior to a event at the garden or to have a drink before getting on the train. They may just have the best Spaghetti Bolagnese in the city ! You won't be disappointed with anything on the menu.

    Great time, would go again

We went to there because I had looked up eateries close to the Garden since we were attending the Tim and Faith concert. We had a terrific waiter, very friendly and did NOT push any fancy drinks as one of the reviews said. It got very busy as we were leaving around 7:30, and we had to ask someone other than our waiter for the check, but other than that, the food was terrific and the service was good and very fast.. I would go back just to eat there...

    Surprising place

I was very surprised that this place was so good. The food is excellent, but the service may be a bit slow. Overall, a thumbs up though !

    Not what I had expected

From the menu and description here, I had expected a reasonable restaurant with mostly Italian food. That was nowhere near reality. This is your average sports bar. The bread was hard. Our meals were decent, but overpriced. The waiter was a bit pushy while attempting to be friendly. He brought me another overpriced drink, even though I said I didn't want it especially since we were trying to catch a show, and of course charged us for it. A disappointing experience.

    Good food and convenient!

Good food and very convenient if your attending a Garden event! After late late Knick games you can catch some of the players stopping in. Old favorite of Charles Oakley!

    Good food, mixed service

The food here is fresh but service can be slow (especially true of take-out. Don't even bother trying to call for take out or reservations. They do not pick up the phone from the late afternoon on). The new decor has a sleek feel to it but the floors, in particular, have a down-scale diner feel to them.
