    amazing food.

still the best. And Norma treats everyone like family.

    Things have changed:(

Where are the puerto ricans in the kitchen? The beans are horrible and bland.I'm not trying to be mean but its as if they came out of a can with a little tomato sauce. Where are the peppers, onions, olives, cilantro, culantro? You can't even taste the garlic.Meat dishes are easy to make but great rice and beans are the base of puerto rican cuisine. If your latino and know good-traditional food then don't bother coming here.

    One of the finest gems...

... in the neighborhood. The food is authentic and tasty. The service is excellent. The price is down to earth. It's a must-see when you're in the area.

True to form Puerto Rican food

Excellent food hands down. Norma treats everyone like family and every meal here tastes like something cooked back home. Prices are excellent and despite what people may say - I think the decor is very authentic and comforting - I wouldn't expect anything else from a great restaurant like this.

Best Puerto Rican food 4 the price!

This is what we call in NY a greasy spoon joint-but with good basic home cooking. The food is great 4 the price and the soups are as close as your going to get at home. A great way to taste what I call "Puerto Rican cuisine" is to try the white rice-it's never bland. The beans are the next step-fresh with the taste of cilantro..which is a must! Over all when you're craving Puerto rican food and I must say it should be it's on catergory-this is the best place to try it first.who cares how it looks inside:)

    Two dollars of heavan

Ask for a drink called 'Morir Sonando' - it's an amazing fruit smoothie, and it is so cheap!

    reliable & affordable

Norma feeds everyone from local artists to mechanics to gallerists to the cast of Law & Order. We're all well-fed and leave with change. Very good chicken stew, rice & beans and fried plantains.
