This willbe my next destination first when I come to the city again, being only 2 hrs away that should be more often! The beer sampler was killer, the steak hamburger on a baguette with frittes was out of this world and my partner got the pomp a due, he said it was out of this world! A+ no compliants

I went with a friend before the PeeWee Herman show and loved everything. The truffled mushroom croquettes - hearty enough to split with someone. The Grand Mere mussles were so good we could not stop. Definitely my new favorite place near times square. Try the BXL Cuvee beer; good for all types of beer drinkers.

I've been here for lunch a couple of times. The service is inconsistent and a little slow, but the food is good. Today I had bitterballen, which are pretty hard to find on a menu, and they were mighty tasty. I ordered a simple house salad to accompany, and it was just delicious. The people watching soccer in the bar were having a great time, creating a very friendly and festive atmosphere. I've also been there when it's nearly empty, which is also cozy & nice. I expect to be back.

Excellent food, excellent service. The Pot au Chocolate is amazing. The beer selection is great.

I was dying to find a bar in NYC that had a nice Belgian Beer selection..next to impossible..not anymore! BXL has great beer!! Never tried the food so I can't rate it.

The selection of Belgian Ales is impressive unfortunately the lunchtime food and service were mediocre. The pommes frites were limp and seemed as though they had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Would return but only for drinks.

As a Belgian stuck in Manhattan with the compliments of the Iceland volcano I was lucky enough to pass by the East side BXL. The four of us had an excellent lunch for what you call your money's worth. My wife had a Bouchee a la Reine one of my sons a steak frites and my other son and myself mussels.Next time I'm in NYC I will certainly eat there again
