I trecked 20 blocks down to Buttercup last week from my school, hoping that the one cupcake I was going to get was worth it. The only good thing about heading down to 52nd street was I got my exercise. I was very disappointed in their cupcakes. The frosting isn't tasty and the cake is dry.

As previously said by someone else I was never impressed with the cupcakes they're somewhat dry but the BANANA PUDDING IS OFF THE HOOK. Please try it even if you never like banana pudding before you will love it at this spot....I will travel from downtown to mid-town to get tubs of it.

This sweet shop is a treat for the eyes. I finally decided on the chocolate cake, and was not let down. It is the perfect balance of rich dark chocolate goodness, without leaving you feeling completely weighed down. I also tried the cupcakes, which to me weren't anything special. But I would go again and again for that cake!

The cupcakes are dry and stale tasting, the frosting is too sweet and kind of hard and they're just too small. There's not enough variety in flavors either.

This is a charming little bakery that has the perfect American treat...a cupcake! The assortment is not large, but they have the classics. My favorite was the golden with chocolate icing, but I highly reccommend the german chocolate for something different. The service was pleasant, but the decor inside could be more charming. I'm definitely coming back, absolutely.

This place makes simply the best cup cakes I've ever had. And it's always so fresh. I love their German Chocolate and even their carrot cake is truly divine. The best part is to u see them do the icing all the time from their glass door. Wish I could sneak out their icing bucket someday.:-)
