    Good date spot

Butter has a beautiful atmosphere. It is an excellent date spot. However, I would stick to drinks. The drink menu is great but food service takes way too long. It is perfect for after dinner drinks with a date that you actually enjoy.

Would you like fries w/ that

The food was better than most places that depict themselves a trendy NYC spot; however the service was analogous to that of a late night Wendy?s drive thru, (e.g. order, reach out to get it yourself, and pay).

A place to lubricate your palate

Having eaten at Butter once, I found that I had to return. From the incredible woodsy decor, to a great wait staff, and, the best part, the new and up-and-coming chef Alex Guarneschelli , how can one go wrong? She has such a wise insight into what the right combination of flavors make for a rewarding culinary experience, one leaves fulfilled and wanting to come back to see what else she can come up with. We had a wonderful waiter who knew what he was talking about and the wine list, along with the food, was quite excellent. I would recommend the tasting menu. Chef Guarneschelli will steer you to a wonderful place where you wish to stay, with your taste buds, and the warm feeling travelling down to the inner you. What can I say, this is one of the highlights of New York cusines. I only wish more people could appreciate what I did.

    Would not go back

The service was poor and the food was not good for the amount we were paying for it. I would never ever ever go back to Butter.

Food was good, wait was horrible

As I said in title the food was good but had an hour wait..... so much for my resorvations. The atmosphere was nice very trendy. They have two floors, we ate downstairs a band/dj was playing dont go there if your looking to go on a romantic date. I had the steak which was very good, and the creamed spinac out of this world..My friend ordered the ravioli and was suprised to receive 4...needless to say she left starving!
