Butter Lane Cupcakes

not impressed at all. Their icings were overly sweet and their cakes were dry and so small! Actually one of the worst cupcake places I have been too so far. The atmosphere was nice though

Live in EV and go here probably one to two times per week, never had a bad cupcake, never been mobbed with people, always a pleasant transaction.

my favorite dessert/treat/food are cupcakes!! this place is a winner-- i've only just recently found the place and i am so glad that i did. the cupcakes are a decent size and a great price. whoever said they were dry must only be able to eat things with a pudding like consistency because there was nothing dry at all about these lil'cakes. the icing is great and the owner (i've only met the guy) is eager to please. my favorite part is that they will put any icing on any cupcake even if it isn't on display, i know this sounds simple enough but most walk in places like this don't really bother, its more a what you see is what you get. Seriously, this place is a gem, id be sad to see it close so anyone on the LES who loves cupcakes, make the trip. you won't be sorry. (my fav is vanilla w strawberry icing-melts in your mouth!!)

Butter Lane is an adorable eatery run by friendly and helpful staff. I love that the frosting selections change from day to day and that you can sample a frosting before taking the plunge! The frosting is sweet and satisfying without being overly cloying. I have found the cupcakes to be moist, with an almost pound cake-like consistency. Try the banana cake with peanut butter icing--it's a winning combination!

Can't even imagine what people are talking about when they say its dry cakes and bad icing. I live right around the corner and have been here more then enough times and have never had a bad experience. The owners are the sweetest people and very personable. The french butter cream icing is perfectly not too sweet and the cake is always moist and delicious. At 2.50 a cupcake its a perfect treat for whenever.

Another overpriced cupcake factory, except this one has especially dry cakes and so-so icing. Nothing special; tastes like a cheap supermarket brand. Don't waste your time or your money.

Butter Lane has an array of unique, delicious frostings to choose from and is so confident with them, samples for each are centrally located on the front counter. Go here when you're in the mood for a departure from bland cupcakes that have become the norm elsewhere.
