BEST CAFE IN NEW YORK CITY

We travel all the way from New Jersey to visit this Cafe - it's the best in the city - the food is outstanding, always fresh and Fidel and Glenn (the owners) are great guys who love what they do and make you feel very special. It is worth a visit you won't be disappointed.

    Little Gem

We recently moved to UWS from LES and have had trouble finding restaurants that are truly special and delicious. This modest tiny sandwich shop serves up fresh and delicious sandwiches, wraps, soups and salads. They threw in some moist fresh chocolate chip cookies with our take out order which took only a few minutes to prepare. The owners were friendly and generous and brought us tea samples. Seemed more like a place you would find in Bar Harbor, Maine than West Harlem, and that made it all the more special. We took our food up to St. John's and had a picnic on the steps. The price was great also! We will go back often.

    Ridiculously delish!

I stopped here on a whim the other day with 2 kids to grab a salad to go. After standing there a couple minutes I decided to stay since the salad I was getting was a special and had warm pork loin on it, thought it would be best to eat there. It's small, but the guys had no problem with me staying with a sleeping baby in a stroller and a 3 year old who wasn't eating (except for the clementine I had with me, she's really picky). So about the salad, seriously, the best salad I ever had, ever! It had pork which was seasoned perfectly, warm dates and olives on top of greens, veggies and a few raspberries, and it was devine! I will definitely be back. Oh yeah, they "watched" my baby for me while I brought my 3 year old to the bathroom in the back. Super nice staff!

    Rockin!

From the soups to the appy's/salads to the wraps/sandwiches and all the way to the catered lunches and dinners! By far one of the best place in NYC. Fidel and his chef are funny, helpful and great at what they do! The cookies are amazing too! I always know that I am getting great quality and outstandingly delicious food at a fair price. Its just great! Simply great!

    My favorite!

I love this place. It's my favorite in the neighborhood. The food is so great! By far the best turkey burger I've ever head. And the guava/cream cheese pastries - beautiful :)

    hooray for healthy food!

Ok, so the delivery took a while (30 min), but the food was out-friggin-standing! It was fresh and the veggies were vibrant with color. I ordered the tune melt on multi grain - omfg! It comes on a closed sandwich w/ a side salad. My friends ordered the Chicken Spa Salad and Popeye Salad w/ tuna - it was all unbelievably delicious and healthy. The three part order also came with 3 lil heavenly dessert biscuits which I believe consisted of guava and cream cheese wrapped in a delightful phyllo dough. We will definitely become regular patrons! This is the place if you wanna lose a few...
