I wasn't impressed by the food and the service. It took forever for the waitress to take our order and for the food to come out, which i didn't get one of the items i ordered and the waitress tried to charge me for. Also, this is a cash only place but they didn't have enough cash to make change. The restaurant is very nice and is a DJ there who plays some great music.

I have been frequenting bushbaby for the six years they have been open. It is disheartening most people haven't heard of this cafe/lounge. Located in Bed Stuy Brooklyn, this is one of the only eating establishments I know of that have dishes for vegan, vegetarian and meat eating diet. And I don't just mean selections, I mean real choices like during brunch vegan french toast that is out of this world. Moroccan chicken that you can have with spicy grits. There is a vegan or real chicken selection. New to the menu with I absolutely am addicted to now is a pizza wrap. I am a vegetarian that does not eat diary products so to have a good pizza has for years been a challenge. bushbaby has perfected this pizza wrap, mines came with olives, sindried tomatoes and I asked them to make it spicy so they threw in crushed red pepper. I ate this with their house salad and left totally satisfied. This review is becoming a bit lengthly so i'll end by saying not only is the food original, a good meal for the price but you can also get the best tea lattes, mixed drinks...the owner is a true mixologist combining beer with teas, wines with teas and other ingredients like fresh ginger and even fresh frozen fruit for their wine smoothies. I hope more people stop in and write about the great offerings bushbaby has. This place needs to have several locations!
