Bus Stop Cafe

Came for lunch with my 2 teeage boys.I loved the atmosphere. Beautiful old building, a little small. It was Aug so the very large windows were open with a great view of the small park cross the st and traffic going by and, of course, busses stopping out front. Very NY! The boys weren't sure they were going to like it but the food was great! One had chicken parm pannini (highly recommend) and the other had grilled cheese. They loved it! Fries were hot and fresh. My salad was superb. Good service. Noticed a nicely blended mix of patrons, looked like locals so I figured the food would be good. I was right! Would definitely go back.

I order from here frequently because the food is decent and the delivery is quick. I would recommend it to that extent. However, be careful when you order over the phone. Someone gruff and impatient is sure to answer. And forget using a credit card. Your "impatient" order-taker is sure to downgrade to "rude"!

Great food, horrible on-the-phone custome service! They're horrible rude and way too to-the-point. The things you do for a decen burger.

I have been going to Bus Stop for years because it is convenient, but it is simply an OKAY diner. In the past year I have ordered in from Bus Stop quite a bit and about 90% of the time they get the order wrong with multiple problems.

i've eaten here twice when i was in the neighborhood- both times ordered the linguine bolognese (once at the restaurant; once for take-out) and loved it both times. the staff is so congenial and they just put a smile on your face. attentive but not intrusive. cozy little spot in a great area. maybe next time i'll venture out and try a different dish but i'm pretty happy with the bolognese!

I live in Switzerland. Every time i get to NY, this is THE place where to have breakfast. Not expensive, great atmosphere, friendly service and EXCELLENT waffles.

If you're looking for a place to stop out of the wet or cold weather this works. No place to eat if you looking for good teasting food. Nice for soups, teas and coffee and maybe breakfast. Watchout for the waiter service, they may not reutrn your change.
