Far from actually tasting mexican. The Guac was okay, but at $10, give me a break. We asked for Spicy and it was in NO way spicy. 1 avocado worth of guac for $10? The salsa was the best part of the meal. My friend and I both ordered the Chimichangas which were BAD. Not good in any respect. The beans (refried? I think not) were just unforgivably awful. Unbelievable that these were $13. I tasted another friend's flautas, which were a bit better because they were actually fried, unlike the chimichonga. Go figure. I have literally no idea why this place has good review. You people need to go to Texas to improve you palate.

I went to Burrito Loco tonight, and was not as impressed as I had hoped for. My brother and I both ordered Fajitas(chicken and beef), which were tasty, but not great. As at so many mex. places in NY, the fajitas come floating on a tomato sauce, which is not very pleasant. However, the chips, salsa, margaritas, and daquiris are all excellent! Good service and a nice, upbeat atmosphere is also enjoyable, but the Fajitas are just ok. Worth a try.

I go to Burrito Loco about once a week with my boyfriend and I love it. I'm always on the lookout for authentic Mexican restaurants as they are hard to find but Burrito Loco is a winner. Small and cute, you feel immediately at home when you walk in. Great service, yummy margaritas but the best part is definitely the awesome food! The guacomole made right next to your table is to die for!

First off, I have to start by stating that from the moment that you walk into this restaurant, you immediately feel as if you are important. The staff is quick to recommend their specials and their fine wine(s). Usually I am not a big fan of eating seafood at a Mexican restaurant. But this place here is on point like a sniper. You truly feel the Mexican atmosphere. It also helps that they hand make the guacamole right in front of you. Their polite staff strives on pleasing and they are truly clean. If you doubt coming here, then you obviously do not have a taste for good food.

This is one of the few restaurants in NYC that offer authentic Mexican food. Watch out for the salsa, as it is very spicy but delicious. The tacos al pastor are excellent (they even put the pineapples in it which very few places do). The margaritas are not the best but the food makes up for it.

I discovered this restaurant when I first moved to NYC in 2004. I've been back countless times since then. They have excellent guacamole, tasty side items, and amazing burritos. Everything's always fresh, and I honestly have never had a bad meal here. The wait staff is extremely friendly, and they never rush you to get out like some village restaurants do. This restaurant gets my highest recommendation!

Discovering Burrito Loco has meant an entirely new understanding of Mexican food for me. It is absolutely the best Mexican I've had in the city, and the guacamole (which they make in front of you if it's not crowded) is the best I've EVER had. The atmosphere is lively and exciting, and the food usually comes quickly. The service is enhanced by the fact that at various points during the night, a birthday diner will be chugging tequila and ornamented with a huge sombrero, or someone will order the Cucaracha Borracha, which is lit on fire as it is made in front of the whole restaurant. To sum it up, great food, great fun. I've gone back several times in the few weeks since I've discovered it.
