I've been to burrito loco 3 times and had poor experiences for 2 of them. The first time they continued to bring drinks to the table that no one ordered and refused to take them back. The most recent time I was there, we had a fairly large party, but they said it wouldn't be a problem. They seated most of us but left 6 people outside with no seat and refused to help them. The began to seat every other party that walked in before our party. There was a very large table next to us that could have accomodated the others but it was "reserved" (My friend tried to make a reservation multiple times and was told she couldn't- the table was also empty the whole time we were there.)

I'm so surprised by these reviews. I just pulled this up to find out the specific location because I was referring a friend. I have been going to this place for years and have never had a bad meal or experience. The food is great and the staff is wonderful. I love the cozy decorative atmosphere also. Thought I should share because I think it's getting a bad rap.

Food was mediocre but they advertise a happy hour special and then do not honor- went with a group for $4 margaritas and after having to chase the waiters down for drinks (that were not cold when they arrived to the table,) we paid full price for ever drink and would not relent-i'll never go back- don't fall in their trap.

Decided to give this place a second chance and big mistake! I don't understand how they made it #1 on Citysearch as they must have had all their friends vote in! Unfortunately, the burritos are too pricy and not tasty. The guac was too runny and salty. Maybe I had a couple of poor experiences but that was enough!

I went to this place thinking they probably will do a decent burrito, given the name! Was I thoroughly disappointed! No taste whatsoever and so expensive! If you're going to charge so much, at least have it taste decent!

The decoration and the place seems pretty cool and mexican. I thought that it has authentic mexican taste, but it wasn't.. I asked for "tlalpenio soup" and it was a plain chicken soup.. the only good was the sangria.. Im from Mexico and this wasnt the right place.

I have been to Burrito Loco several times and the staff is extremely friendly and the food is always good. The guacamole is great and the burritos (chicken or steak) are always a favorite. I think it is funny that people are complaining about the cost of this place, as it is a rather good deal for NYC. Regarding the comment about going Texas to improve the palet is too funny! I don't want to go to Texas for any reason... maybe Mexico to improve the palet, but certainly not Texas!
