Burrito Loco

While I'm sure there must be some value to other reviewers' comments, my experience was nowhere near as pleasant. The food is ridiculously expensive for Mexican food, even by NYC standards. Outrageous, even. $14 for bean tostadas? Srsly? My companion and I were the only two in the restaurant at lunch yet we were provided with no service whatsoever, and even had to make a special request for water refill. Second, I specifically stated I did not want any salsa, pico, or other peppers, yet my tostadas were loaded with pico...I was very clear with my request. I can never understand how waitstaff ignore those kinds of special requests. Not a value, and the food was mediocre at best. I will not be returning

I used to come here while I went to college in the city and always had a good time. I was in the Washington Square park area recently, and happened upon it. I was so excited! The food is always good, and I am obsessed with burritos. It is a bit expensive for what it is, as are the drinks, but thats not surprising for the city. I recommend it for going out for a fun casual meal and some drinks with friends.

I actually live in NYC and this is one of the better places to eat mexican food. Of course it's not as good as foing to California, but for NY, I'll take it. I come here for intimate dinners with my partner, my birthday dinners with friends and sometimes I just stop by while I am walking around the village. The dining area is calm, quiet and relaxing. The food is fresh and tasty and the drinks are very good. The staff is friendly and accommodating. If you want to share a dinner with a special someone, come to Burrito and you won't be disapointed.

I love this place. I love Mexican food and its reasonable. I've gone here for 3 bdays in a row and always had a good time....

I live on Long Island, NY and when I come into the city and is interested in Mexican good it HAS to be Burrito Loco! I love their chicken Flautas...and their fresh pico de gallo and their chicken wing appetizers..Their Mojitos excellent. Overall it may be a tiny little spot but the food is great..the drinks are superb and the ambiance is in my opinion..mature, sexy, romantic, fun and above all things in NYC its happening! Hope this review helps...for those who've had bad experiences..trust me NYC isn't perfect we try hard but if youre coming in with a bad attitude leave a bad tip..treat your hard worker server poorly..think about it would you go extra hard assisting a crabby customer?

I've been going here for about 8 years and have never had a bad experience. I have yet to find a place that has as awesome frozen margaritas and their guac is outstanding! They used to make it right in front of you but I think they just mash it up in the corner now, due to spacing issues. My only complaint is that when I first started going, they had this cheese, rice and bean burrito that was the best burrito I ever had in my life - then they took it off the menu. I've seen it on their specials, but it's few and far between. Since I don't eat meat, if you want the best food, stick to the apps. But don't miss the guac.

I've been to burrito loco 3 times and had poor experiences for 2 of them. The first time they continued to bring drinks to the table that no one ordered and refused to take them back. The most recent time I was there, we had a fairly large party, but they said it wouldn't be a problem. They seated most of us but left 6 people outside with no seat and refused to help them. The began to seat every other party that walked in before our party. There was a very large table next to us that could have accomodated the others but it was "reserved" (My friend tried to make a reservation multiple times and was told she couldn't- the table was also empty the whole time we were there.)
