Burgers & Cupcakes (Mitchel London Pizza)

I love Burgers and Cupcakes! The burgers (and the chicken burger too) are always delicious. I live around the corner from this place and order from them often. I am picky about hamburgers, but theirs are always great.

I read the reviews and was a bit concerned that this was not the right place for me to take part of my "team" for lunch. So, I thought I'd check it out today. Wow - the burger (bacon, swiss) was excellent! It was juicy and flavorful! The waitress, (who I found out wasn't really the waitress, the real waitress was a no show ) was prompt, friendly and speedy. She even through in a free cupcake because she thought she took too long with the check. The place was very clean. Service was wonderful and the burger was fabulous. We'll be back with party of eight!!

Consistently....CONSISTENTLY...they have disappointed me. At this point i only order under the pressure from my coworkers but even they are getting quite annoyed. so i live around the corner and work 3 blocks away. wkdays we call for a big order and EVERY TIME...they leave out someone's meal, miss a drink order yet charge us. THIS HAPPENS EVERYTIME. on the wkends when i'm home and i am too busy (not lazy) to leave apt - like any NY'er i'll order. and this is the answer i get - We don't deliver right now or We don't take orders until 11am (even when i call at 10:53) so I said - can you at least write my order down?). i've even called for pick ups and yet they can't get their stuff together. Their service is CONSITENTLY disappointing. Mitchel needs to regroup, rehire or rethink working in the service industry. oh and sitting in the restaurant...s-l-o-w s-e-r-v-i-c-e (if there is any). so don't go if you don't have 2 hours to kill for a burger and cupcake.

got delivery which was very prompt. hamburger with swiss cheese and grilled onions was delicious as were the fries!

My boyfriend and I decided to try Burgers and Cupcakes because we enjoy burgers and cupcakes. We went on a Saturday evening, when the place was relatively empty. However, there was plenty of staff on hand. We ordered two burgers, fries, and two cupcakes. Forty five minutes later, the waitress (the only waitress waiting on the four or so customers) came back, noticed we had no food, and said "you haven't gotten your food? It'll be out in two minutes." Fifteen minutes later, she told us that the reason we had not received our meal is that burgers take 11-12 minutes to cook. Fifteen minutes after that (after we saw two tables of customers receive their burgers) we received our meals. The waitress then sort apologized and said we would get free cupcakes. Then she disapeared outside for a smoke and did not return until after our check came. It was the poorest hamburger experience I've ever had.

First of all, what the heck is going on? I went to both of the restaurants and each one says they are independent and say they are the original! Real werid stuff. As a burger lover, I do not recommend either for burgers, although the one on 9th is much better (cupcakes were delicious there). The one on 23rd is not recommended. Extraordinarily poor burgers, dry cupcakes, and rude....Unprofessional service!

The burgers are really good..it's somewhat crispy on the outside. And the cupcakes in this location is delicious. My experience at the 23rd street one was horrible. The cupcakes tasted and felt stale.
