After reading the glowing reviews on this site, we made the excusrion up to midtown on a Sunday afternoon to check this place out. The ambiance is great- exactly what you would think of when you hear the words "burger joint", and the food is inexpensive. However, the burgers and fries were not so good. Our buns were stale, and the meat was mushy. Fries were palatable, McDonalds-esqe but not nearly as good as the golden arches. I am astonished how anyone can call this a good burger, much less one of the best in the city.

My favorite place for burgers in the city. The burgers aren't huge, but it's well worth it. You have to get a side of fries...

My daughter and I were in New York in February 2005. We had read about the Burger Joint on some internet site. When we eventually found the Parker Meridien Hotel, after a lot of shopping and walking around the city, we then couldn't find the Burger Joint. It is really well hidden behind a curtain in the hotel lobby. We would go so far as to say that the burger was the best we have ever had. The fries were good too. Really nice atmosphere there and a good mix of people. Can't wait to visit New York again and get another burger there.

My mother discovered this secret burger joint when she stayed in the hotel, and I've been there several times since then. The burgers are very good and the fries are yummy too. It's nice and cozy, dim lights, and they usually have some type of basketball or baseball game on the tv.

The only downside to the Burger Joint is seating, there just isn't enough space. But the wait is worth the best darned burgers you'll get in this town! The fries are salty and crisp and the milk shakes creamy. It's one of the few places where two people can eat for under $20 and still go away completely satisfied!

When I think of burgers these are the burgers I think of. I work in midtown (times square) and am willing to jump on the subway (2 stops) and battle the crowd just for a taste. When the craving hits you just have to deal with it.

Delicious... decor was kitschy and fun... very 80s rec room vibe... you would never think this place would be found in Le Parker Meridien hotel. Wish there were more seats, but service was fast and the food was awesome, so I definitely plan to come back. Crowded late afternoon on a Sunday... room was shared with couples, friends, singles from all age groups and walks of life. A fun NY experience :)
