On 1/26/07 cheryl wrote that the cashier was bad at customer service when he incorrectly ran her credit card. She has the wrong joint. The Burger Joint is cash only.

The best turkey burger in town by far especially with a variety of cheese options and complimentary sauteed onions, lettuce & tomato. The wait staff is OK especially given the crowds. However, the cashier/manager leave alot to be desired in customer service. Besides his regularly ignoring customers standing in front of him wanting to pay their checks as he is too busy counting the day's money intake, then when he makes an error on your credit card slip charging too much money, he actually argues with you you're wrong and after 2 times he concedes yeah, so what do u want me to do? Besides the obvious of refunding the money, an apology would definitely be in order for both his error & outright rudeness.

First off, this is the best burger your going to get in the city. They always cook it right, the meat is marbled enough to stay juicy, and they dont even begin to try to cut the fat. thats where it ends. The shakes are okay, the fries are pathetic considering how good the burgers are, and its basically 10 tables (that are never free), a television, and a grill. If you havent already, give it a shot. Dont bring your mother in law unless shes a beer guzzling frat boy.

For a Southern Burger Joint up North this is it. Family of 4 cost $40 bucks. Food was very good & would go back.

I guess I was really expecting an exceptional burger - and it wasn't bad but I can't understand why it is considered one of the best in the city. It was ok. I certainly can make a better one at home. And the value, at eleven and some change is fine but there are good values at places like D.J. Reynolds in the same hood.

This is the best meal ever, and it's not just a value. It's super cheap, and very comfortable. A great place to bring your first date or even your friends for a get together. The burgers are delicious, and a perfect size, the fries are given in a huge package, and the milkshakes are perfection. Always fun, casual, busy, and delicious, I reccomend anyone and everyone to try this! Even the most conservative people love this place, take 'em!

You walk through the upscale marble lobby of the Parker Meridien Hotel, turn the corner past the concierge desk and suddenly, hidden behind floor-to-ceiling velvet curtains you enter what seems to be a roadside buger joint straight out of Kansas- a truly surreal experience and part of the allure of this place, kind of like some "Twilight Zone" episode.. The real draw of this place are the burgers, not so big but well proportioned, fresh, kind of greasy and real outdoor flavor like I have never experienced at just about any other "burger joint" in town. Anyone familiar with the west coast "In-and-Out Burger" chain, a fast food enterprise with an almost cult following (I actually dream about their burgers sometimes), these burgers are as close as you get in this town (though certainly greasier). Sure it's $6 instead of $1.65 but hey, you're in NY now. Someone's got to pay the rent.
