Burger Joint has a wonderful "authentic" NY feel. It provokes nostalgia for a long gone NY which was alot grubbier but a whole lot more fun than the fake glitz of today's midtown. Service is brusque as it should be in greasy burger joint. The fries are ok. My burger, though juicy and tasty, carried too much of the past, as in it tasted as if the grill had not been cleaned since the nostalgic past I referred to above. I have been there 3 times in the past year and the pronounced carbon flavor always detracts from the excellent Burger Joint experience. Clean the grill.

Have been wanting to try this place for years, always heard they had amazing burgers, finally went the other night and it was so great! Fun atmosphere with great music playing too. The burger and fries at this place are simply incredible. They are flame broiled and cooked to perfection and the fies taste similar to McDonald's fries. Only drawback is the place is tiny and always packed so you have to get lucky and snag a table as other people are getting up. Would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone for a great, cheap burger!

I was excited to try this place after reading all the hype about it. There was a line out the door the whole time we were there so I thought it must be as good as I've heard. Well, the burgers were good...but not great. I just don't think they're worth $7.50, especially for their size, these are not big burgers. I mean, sure it's better than a fast food hamburger, but it's really just like a homemade burger that I could make myself. Not sure what all the fuss is about...

for the first time I web there the day after Christmas @ 2. the line wasn't long maybe 10 min. the place is really smalll, I suggest you find ppl sitting down that are almost done & tell them 2 give you there table, you'd have 2 wait 4 your food anyway so they can take there time. the food was very good, simple 2 order. xcept there was one rude girl that worked there but whatever. great Unique décor.

Visited NYC over Thanksgiving Weekend. Ate at the Burger Joint around 7 p.m. on Sat. night. Line of about a dozen out the door waiting to get in which actually moved quickly. Could almost hear the chants of "cheeburger, cheeburger, Pepsi, Pepsi". Service was quick - patrons friendly - we shared a booth. Burgers were good, not great as we had read in other reviews. Fries were okay. Entertainment value of the place is worth a one-time visit.

Burger Joint was a rather annoying experience. I went on a week night at about 7:30. It's insane that people can just sit at those tables even though they have finished eating. When my food finally came I had to fight with a tourist to sit in the booth. Meanwhile the other party hadn't even ordered yet! It's just really silly that people sit there and chat when you can easily talk in the hotel lobby. There needs to be some kind of regulation because it's unfair to serve food in a small place with no seats.

We dined at Burger Joint on a Thursday night around 6:30pm. It was already crowded, with every seat taken & a line of 8-10 people at the register. The vibe is cool and funkyI'm a New Yorker and didn't feel the place was overrun with tourists (unlike the rest of Midtown!). It is absolutely a "joint"super casual, high table turnover, greasey food, etc. However, the service was fast--you order at the counter and take the food to your table yourself--and the food quite good. We each had a burger, fries, soda, and shared a milkshake and the tab was around $35. VERY pricey but you're paying for the atmosphere, for sure. I absolutely recommend checking it out!
