Mediocre at best
I ordered a cheese burger and it was nothing special at all--I could make the same thing at home. I also ordered a milk shake only to be told they don't start making them until later. It was the middle of the afternoon when I was there. Wait until later? Huh? This is one place to skip.

Great Burger
A colleague of mine took me to this great burger spot. The burger was juicy and definitely had a great taste. Get there early if you are looking for a seat but if you are looking for take out this is definitely the place to grab a delicious bite!

Good But Not Great
Their cheeseburger is good but the portion isn't generous, so we always have to add another burger, a packet of fries (we really dislike their fries) or share a milkshake (which btw, is too sweet for our liking) and be prepared to wait in line to get to the counter or snatch a seat or both. So all in all, it's not that great a value. But the small space has a fun feel to it and would work if you're a small eater or aren't too hungry and prefer a small/noisy/fun place.

Stop all the crying
Their burgers are great, when you are a ntive new yorker you tend to learn that you get what you pay for, and for 12 bucks this order of cheeseburger and fries were and always will be awesome

Left me still looking for an amazing midtown burger
A good burger, yes. A burger that was memorable and leaves me watering-at-the-mouth to have it again, no. Loved the atmosphere, though. Playing on the speakers was everything from Big Band to Bob Marley, and there's a really nice coziness to the place in spite of the the constantly shifting, jostling hordes. The food was good, just not distinctive from what you could get at Burger Heaven. Caveat: not a place to bring those who need peace, quiet and a seat to accompany their dining experience.

Good burger...but clean the grill already
Burger Joint has a wonderful "authentic" NY feel. It provokes nostalgia for a long gone NY which was alot grubbier but a whole lot more fun than the fake glitz of today's midtown. Service is brusque as it should be in greasy burger joint. The fries are ok. My burger, though juicy and tasty, carried too much of the past, as in it tasted as if the grill had not been cleaned since the nostalgic past I referred to above. I have been there 3 times in the past year and the pronounced carbon flavor always detracts from the excellent Burger Joint experience. Clean the grill.

Best burger I've had
Have been wanting to try this place for years, always heard they had amazing burgers, finally went the other night and it was so great! Fun atmosphere with great music playing too. The burger and fries at this place are simply incredible. They are flame broiled and cooked to perfection and the fies taste similar to McDonald's fries. Only drawback is the place is tiny and always packed so you have to get lucky and snag a table as other people are getting up. Would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone for a great, cheap burger!
