    Great food in Little Italy!

We visited this restaurant on Mulberry Street for the first time last night. We WILL be back! We both had the Rigatoni with baby meatballs... highly recommended! The service was fantastic... not too smothery, but very attentive. The appetizer was great, as well. Our total bill was just $59 for the two of us, quite reasonable for NYC. If you are looking for a quaint place to enjoy a relaxing Italian dinner, go to Buono Notte.

    Excellent Excellent Excellent

My wedding and reception was held here and it was FABULOUS!. The food and service was fantastic!! The food was so fresh and delicious, my guest all raved to me about how much they liked the food and how excellent the service was. My family is Italian (some off the boat) and all were very impressed with how delicious the food was. THANK YOU THANK YOU to Buona Notte and StaffI for giving me a memory of a lifetime!

    unpleasant

Just got back from a trip to NY's Little Italy and wanted to write a review about the restaurant we chose for our meal, Buona Notte. Overall, the food at the restaurant was fairly good (great calamari), however, the service was horrible!! The waiter could not be more unfriendly or unwelcoming! He would disappear for about 45 minutes at a time leaving us with empty glasses. We got to the restaurant at 7:00p.m. and didn't get our meals until 910p.m. (one of our dinner attendees didn't get his meal until we were all finished with ours). Waiter had an attitude when we asked him for the check, which we didn't get until abou 9:45p.m. Unbelievable! This was our first time in Little Italy and we walked around the streets and saw people getting much better, friendlier service than we got at the other restaurans. We stopped at Il Pilazzo for dessert around 10pm and we were treated like gold - great dessert, great service and the people around us who were eating dinner had food that looked delicious! I won't be going back to Buona Notte. They could have a good thing going if they learned how to treat patrons better -

    the host with the least

This place is wonderful with delicious food, but the host who screams outside is a detriment to this establishment. He seated us in a back room because we had a baby with us on a day that was 96 degrees outside. It had little airconditiong and we were extremely uncomfortable. I would go back if the host was no longer there, because the food is very good. The pasta was served hot and it was delicious.

Years of good food and service

We have been going to Buonna Notte for several years and the food and service have always been excellent .We have even gone during San Genarro a few times and it was still just as good. Their outdoor garden is a great place to eat and makes you forget you are in NYC , especially when the sun goes down. The prices are great and they even have a very afforable (and good) selection of bottled wines. They never rush you and are always friendly. The tables in the front of the restaurant are great for people watching.
