Been grabbin a slice at Buon Gusto every couple weeks when i pass by. I can't stop raving about this place! The pizza tastes like pizza USED to taste when i was a kid! Great thin, crispy crust that somehow supports the generous portion of cheese. Folds perfectly for when you're eating on the run. Delicious sauce. Absolutely perfect!

I've gone here for years. It used to be owned by two really good pizza makers. Then they sold it. The prices went up, the food was stale or just plain disappointing. I ordered a pizza one night after a hard week of work. I paid with a credit card so they wanted a service charge (which I told them was illegal), then insisted I pay tax (which was included in the price). Got the pie home and it was burned with sour sauce.

The owner of Buon Gusto is so nice and friendly. He's very welcoming when you come in. I always chit-chat with him for a few minutes while I wait for my food. The food is great. I've probably tried just about every kind of pizza that they have and I've never been disappointed. Ordering a whole pie can get a little pricey but by the slice, it's reasonable. Try the eggplant parm hero! Also, for some reason, I think they can come off as slightly off-putting when ordering over the phone, but trust me, this isn't the case. They're such nice folks! Eating there is nothing fancy but it's still nice. Expect to see soccer on the TV! I used to live across the street from here. I'm still in Bay Ridge and I get to go here pretty often, but I miss having this place as my local pizza spot.
