    Overpriced and poor service

We live in NYC but went to meet some friends from out of town--I feel bad that they are leaving NYC thinking this is a typical restaurant experience. The service was poor, the waiters were incomprehensible and acted as if they were serving fast food. They also disappeared for 30 minutes at a time, delivered everybody's food at different times and didn't explain the menu. The food was very overpriced-- most of the main courses (average price 30$-40$) came without sides- a fact that the waiters neglected to mention. We sat down at 8pm and didn't leave until 11--and we didn't even order appetizers! The food itself is good--not great-- and certainly not worthy of the prices.

    Good service and pleasant atmosphere

I've traveled extensively and am always on the lookout for great steakhouses. This one almost made it. Friendly staff and warm cozy atmosphere did not make up for the tough and slightly stringy filet that I had ordered. With their new line of beef I had expected something on the order of Argentinian or wagyu beef, instead the quality was less than what I normally get at my local supermarket. I left over half my filet on the plate. (The staff did offer a new filet) My wife's chicken was OK (I found it bland and overcooked). Sometimes atmosphere is enough, but I expected much better.

Best steak I have ever had

If you are a steak eater and love a nice dinner, this is the place to go! A very cozy atmosphere in a fancy setting.

    Excellent

One of the best steak dinners I have had. Service was excellent and a cozy atmosphere.
