    Feels like Argentina!

I am Argentinian and was recently visiting the city. On my last night in town, my fiancé and I decided to visit this restaurant and when we opened the door, we both felt as if we had been teleported to Argentina! The service was great, everybody was very attentive and polite, and the food was no disappointment, at all! I am a steak lover and being raised in Argentina, I am very picky. We started with salchicha parrillera, which was delicious. Then, I ordered bife de chorizo and my fiancé had the filet mignon. They were both very generous servings and cooked to perfection. The meat was excellent. I was told they import it from Argentina. Either way, it was one of the best steaks I've ever had! We both had salads instead of fries, and they were the real traditional thing. The only thing I didn't love was the chimichurri. I've had better. We didn't stay for dessert, but only because we had no more room in our stomachs! To sum up, we both loved it and we'll definitely be back.

    Great service, amazing food

Went here last night with 3 other people, 2 of which were in town visiting and wanted a good steak. They were not disappointed. One of them has done some travelling in Argentina so is well aware of how highly the country's beef is regarded. He walked out claiming that was the best steak he'd ever had (surpassing the one's he'd had in Argentina). We all agreed, it was top stuff. The waiter's were great, very friendly and helped us pick out a lovely wine and a selection of starters. All in all a great night out. Will be going back very soon

    a little education.....

Me and my gf went to this place on a high recommendation. We were hoping to have a good time but were disappointed. Now here are the positives. The service was excellent. From the time we walked in everyone was very attentive and polite. We started with a pitcher of sangria and being avid sangria fans we were immediately disappointed. It tasted watery, lacked flavor and wasnt sweet. We had the empanadas and chorizo as appetizers. The empanadas were average. The chorizo was delicious but the plate lacked presentation and this was true of all the dishes. I had the fettucine and pesto which again was average and lacked salt. My gf had the milanesa de carne, which was a big portion but needed some serious seasoning to make it edible. On the bright side the garlic and parsley fries were great. We did'nt stick around for dessert after the overall disappoinment and will not be going there again.

    Buenisimo (Great)!

I have been to several Argentinian restaurants in Manhattan and this place is the most authentic. I am also from Uruguay where the cuisine is the same and you see items on the menu that you don't see in other more fusion-oriented Argentinian steakhouse that are staples. Highly recommended steakhouse.

    the best steakhouse around

As a beef lover, and a Uruguayan I can tell you that Buenos Aires is 1000% authentic. Uruguayan cuisine is exactly like Argentinian cuisine, so when I come here it's like I am back in Uruguay. The beef is organic, grass fed directly from Uruguay. The empanadas are perfect! The mozzarel is imported from Italy, the olive oil is sweet and delicious. I know the owners personally and I know that they put a great deal of effort in serving only TOP QUALITY food. Everything on the menu is wonderfully prepared, and top quality. This is BY FAR the best VALUE in NYC, the place is homy, cozy and makes you feel as if you are eating in South America. The staff are always very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I've been here 16 times and plan on going again this week for my 17th, this is by far my FAVORITE restaurant of ALL in NYC...and that is saying a lot since there are so many places to recommend in this big city. Besides how many restaurants do you have the owners seating customers?? That shows how much they care about the restaurant. They are very warm people who always have a smile for their clients, unless its Sat and the place is swamped, in which case you cant blame them because they are incredibly busy attending to the many details of the business. Do yourself a favor and go to Buenos Aires, you will be very glad you did.

    "Mi Buenos Aires Querido..."

I was born and raised in Argentina and can honestly tell you that Buenos Aires Restaurant is “without a shadow of a doubt” the best Argentine Steak House in New York City. It’s literally the equivalent of feasting and enjoying the ambiance of Argentina itself, which is incredibly nostalgic for me. For starters, their hand cut empanada is the perfect way to immerse yourself into the perfect meal as an appetizer. The skirt steak is literally melt in your mouth delicious. The service was great and the owner was eager to accommodate and please everyone. I gathered that there are about 40 seats in the place and there are hordes of people always trying to get in. Be warned that this is especially true on weekends, so be patient because it‘s completely worth your while. As an aside- sometimes the owner treats us to berenjenas a la vinagreta (eggplant with vinaigrette ). If it’s not complimentary, don’t hesitate to order it, believe me. Their buffalo mozzarella imported from Napoli is also an incredible treat. You wont regret it! After writing this I’m heading back there this week…
