Sinus clearing green curry without the price

I just finished my meal from Budtharasa and i must say I enjoyed my meal. The people were a little rude about me paying credit card for my $8.69 meal because of their $10 minimum but I got my food fast (I called from liberty plaza and walked). I feel the portions were very appropriate for lunch and the curry had a nice tang to it, although a bit watery. I cannot complain about the wateryness though, because the thinner the broth the healthier generally. The chicken was thoroughly inundated in the curry flavor, which is more than I can say for most cheap thai places that taste like the chicken was just stuck there. Will I go back there? I'm not sure, I will surely think of it the next time I'm hungry for green curry at work.

    Ok food - poor service

The chicken pad thai was good, not the best I have had but the lunch special is worth the $8. I also ordered a drink and salad and my total came to $13. I gave the delivery guy a 20 and he claimed not to have change. He ended up with a $7 tip. I called to let them know and they did not care in the least.

    Great food, poor service

I ordered from this place, and the food is excellent, tastes great, however, the Pad Thai is supposed to be spicy right? (mine wasn't). They mixed up the order, and charged me the wrong price. When I got there, I was honest with them and paid the price difference. Afterwards, I called to let them know that they had made a mistake, and they were stubborn about it.

    Solid Thai Food

The food is solid. Ive ordered Thai food from more expensive places in the area and this place was better. I especially like the chicken pad thai as the reviewer below did. Service is good too. When I call in an order the food is ready by the time I get there (I am coming from across the street.) More of a take out place.

    best chicken pad thai!

Budtharasa has the best chicken pad thai - I probably get it at least once a week, and all my friends that have tried it agree. I've tried the chicken pad thai from 4 other thai restaurants in the financial district and this is the best, and also the cheapest! I haven't tried the chinese food, but the pad thai and summer rolls are great. The food always comes out hot and delicious within minutes, and the woman who runs the place is very friendly.

    Try the Thai

I would have to disagree with the reviewer above. It is true when you first walk in it looks like a generic Chinese joint, but they actually do have a Thai menu if you look. Granted, I have never tried their Chinese fare, but the Thai food was excellent. It helps that the staff there are actually Thai. Contrary to the Chinese dishes severed cafeteria style, the Thai food you order from the menu is freshly cooked, generously portioned and reasonable priced.

    No

I would deign to call this place a restaurant. The food is of poor quality, high priced for what it is, economic for location and portions, though. I was in the mood for Thai and the selection is that of a generic Chinese food restaurant, with the option of having Pad Thai or Spring Rolls. The atmosphere is that of a cafeteria (don't let the outside fool you.) All in all, a disappointment unless you enter with low expectations.
