Had a wonderful meal at Buddakan last night. The space is really spectacular and the food was delicious. It does get a little noisy, but that is true for many places these days. The service was perfect, very welcoming and friendly. I can't wait to go back!

I dont leave reviews very often but I absolutely have to given the level of service I received last night at Buddakan. Our waiter made what was fantastic food even better. We asked him for his opinion on what to get and he gave us numerous choices to select from. We took his advice and boy were we glad. The appetizers and both main dishes were absolutely amazing. The crab was pretty much to die for. Then, when I mentioned I loved the wine I was drinking, he steamed the label off and gave it to me so i could remember the name should I want to buy it sometime. (which I did). He then gave us not one, but two desserts that were his favorite, without us asking, both being fantastic. He was always attentive and honestly it was just one of the best experiences in nyc I have had in a very long time.

Good food. strong drinks. cute women

The food is served family style so it is great for a big group. The only thing that is bad is the soup dumplings (where is the soup?). But the scallion pancakes with beef, the mushroom noodles, the bbq ribs (the best i have had) and the amazing duck salad and beef tartar. It is all good. Plus, there are some hot women there.

    Seen better days

In a nutshell - mediocre at best. The place has definitely seen better days. The only highlight of our dinner were drinks and appetizers. If you limit your stay to the bar area, you won't be dissapointed. Restaurant section: where should I begin: the shrimp and lobster chow fun had absolutely no taste. The noodles tasted like it was sitting around for awhile - dry and pastey. Small portion and did I mention that the shrimp and lobster were almost MIA - so little to speak of nor notice. The XO sauce was anything but XO - second thought, I didn't taste much sauce at all. The charred filet of beef was boring at best. No taste, over-cooked and again small portion. Neither dishes were completely consumed. The wait staff: our waiter forgot two dishes. I don't know if he just chose to ignore us or was too embarrassed, but after we noted the missing dishes for the third time, his presence was minimal and the two dishes non-existant.
