5 stars!
Last night my husband and I were celebrating my birthday at Buddakan. Wow, the food was spectacular, but the key ingredient in what made Buddakan an exceptional restaurant was the gracious and very attentive service of everyone from David who was our waiter to the manager Paul Downie. Last evening's celebratory dinner with my husband could not have been handled any better- the staff gets it and that's why Buddakan deserves 5 stars! We're already planning what to order on our next visit

Needle in a hay stack
When my friend and i arrived we were greeted impeccably. Oh Dear! when it came to getting seats - thats where it all went wrong - we found a seat ourselves to be questioned on why, confirmed we had a reservation and was left to our own devices. One comment if you have never been before ensure you ask how and what to order. On a good note the food was EXCELLENT!!

Yummy!
Every time I go there the food is always excellent. We get an assortment of appetizers & share & they are so delicious. The edamane dumplings, vegetable fried rice & spare ribs are incredible. A must go!

Faultless
Ate here in betwen christmas and new year. The food was amazing, the service impeccable and the place itself is impressive. A little expensive but you get what you pay for. The short rib of beef was to die for!

Great service, cool setting and good food
The service at Buddakan was great- our waiter had been at the restaurant since it opened and made excellent recommendations. The drinks were, especially good- the Charm, were delicious. I really enjoyed the vegetable dumplings and the tuna tartare rolls.

Negative turned positive experience
A group of us went to Buddakan on a Saturday night. I had made the reservation weeks in advance. We still had to wait more then 30 minutes to get seated! We were pretty annoyed but were able to get the attention of a manager (after a few failed attempts). The manager came over, apologized and gave us a bottle of Prosecco on the house. After that we were seated and got our dinner in a timely fashion and the food was flavorful. Overall, I would recommend Buddakan if you want to experience an over hyped chi chi New York restaurant.
