Amazing lamb chops but very small portion! Everything is excellent... I loved the peking duck & beef tartare appetizers. Very fun interior.

Can't say enough great things about Buddakan. Service- top notch. Food- out of this world. Nothing was truly overpriced for the quality of the food. Couldn't wait for the next mouthful. Recommended dishes (and we tried alot!): edamame dumplings were my absolute favorite, crab dumplings with soy truffle oil, snapper entree, and tofu with cashews. Loved that the sauces on each dish were not too heavy, yet you were completely satisfied. Nothing was too salty- as most modern chinese is. The space is phenomenal with ample tables. Decor is fantastic- only downfall was that the women's restrooms did not have traditional mirrors. I carry a pocket one anyway, so didn't ruin my night. Definitely take a loved one or a gaggle of friends. This place is the new "it" spot.

This place was the best restaurant I've visited in a long time. First, the service here was fantastic, not pretentious at all (like I expected). I actually felt like I was at a 5-star hotel because everyone was overly nice. The host sat us without a reservation after a 15 minutes wait. The waiter was very patient and helpful. The food was amazing. I liked the appetizers much more than the entrées, but that's not to say the entrées were bad in any way. I enjoyed the tuna roll appetizer, edamame dumplings and the lamb entree. I went to Buddakan in Philly and the NY location is MUCH better. Good job Steve.
