Buca

I'm puzzled by all the raves, so will give Buca another try. I stopped in when it first opened, and found the pizza underwhelming. More specifically: I ordered the Quattro Staggioni. The crust was good but not great - dry, and a little too thick to qualify as thin crust; the sause had nice flavor but was runny; the toppings were good but sparse and oddly distributed, with some slices having only one or two of the four. The staff was very pleasant, the ambiance fine, and the prices reasonable. But I wouldn't have given it another chance based on my single sample. Maybe I just hit it on an off night.

This was excellent, really hit the spot. Lovely tranquil place, excellent service, and delicious pizza. My only quibble--and it's a minor one--was that there could have been more sausage on the pizza. Other than that, it was very satisfying. Will return and spread the word.

My wife and I have visited Buca a couple of times and we've been impressed by the place. The food is delicious and the service is great. Pizzaiolo Attilio Reale is in the kitchen and he is very hospitable. Buca is a gem on the Upper West Side!!!

Excellent Pizza, Fantastic Calzone!! Had it delivered. Food arrived on time, hot, and delicious. The Margherita pizza had a sweet, fresh, light sauce. Thin, crisp, yet soft crust. Calzone was awesome!!! Will go back again and again. Finally a spot in W100s that cares about what they serve. Hands down the best pizza in the neighborhood.

This place is sooo good! I am now addicted to the prosciutto pizza- heaven! They don't deliver yet but when they do it is going to be crazy. It is a little off the beaten path- between Amsterdam and Broadway but I hope they make it work! Friendly staff and cute bijou seating area. Dying to try the Nutella pizza..

Found the place by mistake and had the best pizza ever made in NY I believe! Must try
