Buchetta Brick Oven Pizza

Ordered delivery, the pizza came cold, burnt, soggy and the topping had slid off into the corner of the box. The salad was tasteless and limp. Called to complain and the receptionist was disinterested. I got the sense that they didn't believe our complaint as she said they needed to see the evidence... We won't be back.

We loved our meal: had an eggplant mozarella appetizer baked in a delicious tomato sauce. And the pizza was fantastic, from the crust to the fresh ingredients. A keeper!

We had such an enjoyable time here - delicious food, enthused staff, charming personable waitress.

With all due respect to the previous review,i have been living on the upper west side for the last twenty years and i have yet to find anything in this neighborhood that can compare to buca for the price value ratio.I highly reccomend buca ,it is a gem in our neighborhood. There is nothing like it,I eat out for business all the time and have tried most big name restaurants .Try the calzone the salmon or the nutellino they are amazing.

I'm puzzled by all the raves, so will give Buca another try. I stopped in when it first opened, and found the pizza underwhelming. More specifically: I ordered the Quattro Staggioni. The crust was good but not great - dry, and a little too thick to qualify as thin crust; the sause had nice flavor but was runny; the toppings were good but sparse and oddly distributed, with some slices having only one or two of the four. The staff was very pleasant, the ambiance fine, and the prices reasonable. But I wouldn't have given it another chance based on my single sample. Maybe I just hit it on an off night.

This was excellent, really hit the spot. Lovely tranquil place, excellent service, and delicious pizza. My only quibble--and it's a minor one--was that there could have been more sausage on the pizza. Other than that, it was very satisfying. Will return and spread the word.

My wife and I have visited Buca a couple of times and we've been impressed by the place. The food is delicious and the service is great. Pizzaiolo Attilio Reale is in the kitchen and he is very hospitable. Buca is a gem on the Upper West Side!!!
