Best pie in the city!
Bubby's has become my standby comfort food restaurant. The bar-b-que is good, the sides are excellent (mac & cheese) and the desserts are amazing. Try the sour cherry pie and the melted chocolate cake. Though others have mentioned that it is overpriced, the portions are huge and not too expensive for New York.

Boo on you mr bubby
If your focus has changed from people who liked your bbq and pie that have kids to mothers and crayon toting 3 yrs. olds who need a Salad and a happy meal you should have warned me before I sat down. I have been coming for yrs. I know the level bbq that you did bring to the table. Please don?t ever try to pass off pork that was cooked at a high temp for a shorter time as bbq again. A charred out side and a fatty fat fat inside shows it was just that. It might float with the tikes who don?t know better but for your customers who used to come in once or twice a month it just doesn?t float. It wasn?t a total wash you still have the best potato chips in town. Please pick up your game.

Fantastic BBQ, fried chicken and pie
We went for our first time and had beef brisket and chicken fried chicken. As native Texans, we were a bit suspicious about BBQ outside our native state. However, this place has some of the BEST BBQ we'd ever had. The chicken fried chicken was fabulous as well. Excellent side dishes (we recommend the mac and cheese!). But, don't forget to leave room for dessert! Bubby's started out as a pie place, so they have great pies. They also have cakes and ice cream, but we didn't sample those. We also had fresh squeezed lemonade, which was great, but at $2.50 per glass, one would expect more drink and less ice. Minor complaint. Our waitress was courteous and prompt with our food (and check). The chairs were not the most comfortable ones ever, but they added to the down-home character and feel of the place. We spent $60 for a drink, entree and dessert for each of us, so a tad pricey. You could easily keep the cost down by sticking to water, or going for lunch! It's worth the price in any case. We loved it and can't wait to go back!

Casual good eats
I lived in Soho and used to eat here all the time. People complaining about the prices must be from out of town, because it's actually pretty reasonable for NYC. Portions are generous, food is of the homemade "feel good" variety, and it's just a nice place to go when you are in a casual mood. Try their watermelon iced tea, it's ridiculous (when they have it).

Great Drinks and Burgers
A girlfriend and I found Bubby's after work one day and had a great time. The atmosphere was laid back (think kids with crayons, balloons at the entrance...really cute and friendly). Overall the food was solid. Can't go wrong with the burgers, which come with two sides of your choice (the hush puppies and broccoli were great). Sure it might be a little pricey, but you make up for it with the summer drink specials - $5 from their fun menu (try the Blushin' Russian)!

I was pleasently surprised!
Recently, one sunday I had met a friend for brunch @ Bubby's.The crowd out front indicated a long wait however bubby's is notorious for being a scene. With that being said, the rest of our experience was quite pleasant. Food was very rich and delicious, our waiter was on her game, food was a bit pricey, but hey it's tribeca.

Bubby has let me down
Disappointment! Over Priced, Poor Service, Generous Portions yes, but sad display, crowded, tables too close together, celebrity sighting (Mike Myers), burnt coffee!
