Not as good as it used to be
I recently went to bubby's and found that the food and the service were not as good as they were a few years ago.

No longer my favorite place
Bubby's used to have great food and deserts. Today, stick to the pie and coffee!!! And DON'T waste time going to the Brooklyn Bubby's for the view, 'cause there aint one, at least none the night I was there. Like I said, it's a great place for pie but beyond that, NY offers much more for your money.

I love Bubby's!
I went to lunch at Bubby's and it was a great experience. Ordered the turkey burger with swiss and carmelized onions(no bun) with cole slaw and onion rings. It was absolutely delicious. The burger was juicy and the toppings definitely complimented it. The onion rings were great, crispy and not greasy. The only flaw was the cole slaw...a touch too much sugar and mayo...but the purple cabbage was a nice change from regular cabbage. Was so full I couldnt order dessert(maybe next time) but I did grab a refreshing watermelon lemonade before I left....a great place, very cozy and charming.... do not listen to the negative reviews!

The Best Brunch!
Bubby's has the best brunch!! Their pancakes and french toast are out of this world.

What's all the fuss about?
Considering the prices they charge, you would think that they would spend some of that money on renovating. The food is pretty bland and the seats are uncomfortable. The thing I can recommend is the pies - they are the best I've had.

Like going home to Gramma's
What I like about Bubby's is that anytime you go, you feel at home, you know what you're going to get, and you don't worry about whether or not they've gotten a new chef, because Ron's always in the kitchen and we love that wonderful man who brings us our plates of food made with love and kindness. I usually go on weeknights or even Saturday nights. I haven't braved the infamous weekend brunch lines yet, but someday soon! If you get nothing else, get the mac and cheese. My personal favorite are the velvety smooth meatloaf and gravy with the crispy onion strings crowning it, the BBQ brisket, and the potato chips with warm blue cheese dressing...to die for! Try to save room for dessert but if you can't, get your pie or cake to go. Their chocolate peanut butter pie is the best! Be sure to try their "seasonal desserts" like rhubarb pie, strawberry or peach pies...and their sour cherry is like no other. All their dishes are fresh, fresh, fresh...and they also have a really great bar if all you want to do is stop for a drink. Thanks Bubby's...you ROCK!

Bubby's I love you....but not weekends
Bubby's I love you....but just not on the weekend. Bubby's is great. But can't uptown "business" folk go on weekdays (monday through friday.) On weekends, uptown folk flock and line up outside such that I can never go anymore on weekends (I will not stand in line for food I am paying for since I left the (now "former") Soviet Union 18 years ago.) I live in the area and wish it were not so trendy during the weekend. It is a diner. Are there not diners elsewhere?
