Great Food, Great Value
I might be a little biased since I just got married here, but the food has always been amazing, the staff warm and the portions savory. My wife and I have been coming here for close to two years, and the restaurant never disappoints. I recommend this to anyone who likes hospitality food. The one draw back is that it is cash only, so remember to stop at the atm around the corner.

Unremarkable
I have eaten here half-dozen times. Last time I was there, half the crowd was tourist. Service has always been mediocre at best. Food is “OK” but unremarkable. I got the “if you don’t like it, leave” feeling, very disappointing. Doubt I will ever bother with the place again. I will walk into the Heights (15 min) and eat better for less, and be appreciated for it.

Large Group enjoyed wonderful brunch
Ten of us, including an 8 year old, gathered at Bubbys for brunch at 11 AM on a Saturday. We were seated at a spacious table near the window overlooking a beautiful park. Our waiter was fabulous. When taking our drink order he solicited the 8 year old's order and served it expeditiously. The food and drinks were well prepared and beautifully plated. We had ample time to enjoy our meal and catch up on our lives. A perfect place for Brunch. Can't wait to return.

Comfort food never tasted so poor or took so long!
Went there with some friends last night to enjoy their restaurant week offerings. Waited over an hour for the 1st course and app - all of which were "eh" at best. The waiter didn't even realize we hadn't gotten ANYTHING (not even bread) until we reminded him. Waited 20 thirsty minutes for a 2nd round of drinks since the main courses STILL weren't out. About 30 minutes later (and my hunger had passed by then), the main courses finally came out - 1 friend had to opt for a different entree as they ran out of meatloaf and 2 others had to change their side dish as they ran out of potato salad. Even tho the restaurant wasn't full, the waiter claimed the kitchen was "backed up" while we are pretty sure he didn't put the order in...A lesson in patience but definitely not worth the free round of drinks ("manager's promo") or the wait.

Brunch! Brunch! Brunch!
I can't comment on their erratic hours as I've only been here for brunch. I've had it here 4 -5 times so far. I Love their brunch! I've had the Huevos Rancheros, Eggs Florentine, Different pancakes (my kitchen has inadequate venting and I love pancakes), home made granola, and OH their grits are from scratch! not that lumpy dry instant stuff! I adore their grits - just wish the serving size (w/brunch) was bigger! lol

Living with disappointment
Having just moved from Manhattan (West Village) to Dumbo, I knew it would be a difficult adjustment period. Bubby's is not making it an easy transition. Foods ok. But they are open, rarely.... tough on people that reside here that have 3 places to choose from. They get great business from weddings, but unless we get to participate in our own version of Dumbo Wedding Crashers, it blows for us. Get it together or let someone else move into that location that wants to service the hungry people in Dumbo.

Good food & an amazing view!
Went to Bubby's for the first time for dinner last Thursday. I loved the comfort food menu and the cozy yet loft-like interior. I had the pulled pork with some creamy and delicious mac and cheese on the side. We decided to make room for a slice of warm apple pie and we did not regret that decision. Not a restaurant for those on a diet, that's for sure! And the view from this restaurant of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges is just amazing. Definitely worth the trip out to Dumbo.
