    Mmmm Shrimp Po Boy

I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy for lunch today. At first I was a little upset with myself for spending $17 on a sandwich and drink,, but after the first bite I was satisfied. The best description is fresh and tasty. The bread is soft and delicious and the shrimp are plump and crispy. They give you a nice amount of shrimp as well. I'm stuffed and I didn't even finish my sandwich. I would suggest ordering the fries cooked well. I thought I was biting into a carrot. The strawberry lemonade was very refreshing. I liked the little bits of strawberry with each sip.

    guilty pleasure

yes, i am a new yorker, and yes i know that conventional wisdom says i shouldn't like this place. but, well, i do. the food is good. it's not cheap for a lunch spot, but i love the cajun shrimp app, the garlic bread and most things i've tried here. what can i say? gump is good!

    Great view of Times Square!

My boyfriend took me to Bubba Gump Shrimp before going to a broadway show.. I cannot say anything other than great for the superb view of the second floor! you can see the whole square! The food met my expectations, I had a plate of differently cooked shrimps and they were all awesome.. Also the way costumers call waiters was fun!! And we also experienced the staff singing and dancing for the birthday celebrations!! I highly recommend the place for birthday dinners.. It will be a big fun for sure!

    Good food, a bit pricey...

I checked out the menu on this website before going to Bubba Gump, so I was prepared for the prices. I had the coconut shrimp, which was very good. It was a small portion - not a lot of fries either (fries came with the shrimp). The shrimp were big, though. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The drinks were good, too. Nice place to go with friends or family. Not a place I'd go all the time because of the price vs. portion value, though.

    Not very good

We ate there before going to a Saturday matinee. We were quoted a 10-15 minute wait and it ended up being over 35 minutes. I don't mind waiting 30 minutes for a good meal, but at least tell me it's going to be 30 minutes. Our waitress was very good. The food was not. My coconut shrimp was like something gotten out of the frozen food section at the grocery. My daughter's fried chicken was also poor. It did not look like "mama's fried chicken". the bucket of peel and eat shrimp was subpar. They took it off the bill when we expressed our displeasure. We ate there about 2 years ago and it was excellent. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. With so many good restaurants around, I advise walking a few blocks east or west of Times Square and avoiding the chains.
