Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

Who hasn't watched Bubba Gump and not drooled over the delicious scenes involving food? It's a whirlwind of scenes with shrimp and chocolates, and probably could be up there with "Julie & Julia" as a favorite food movie for me. So I could not WAIT to get to this restaurant and sample some well priced, amply portioned food inspired from the famous "shrimp Creole, Peeled Shrimp, Shimp Gumbo, Shrimp Scampi..." dialogue from the movie. Perhaps I should have let those Bubba recipes float in mind mind rather than get onto my plate. The food? OK? The idea of this place? Delicious! Don't miss the gift shop!

We had a great time at Bubba Gumps. Our server was just a great guy, the food was great, it was a little expensive but not any different then anything else in Times Square. Highly Recommend it!

We've been to Bubba Gumps a few times. The food is terrific - something for everyone. Our son always has a great time. The service is always fun and very good. We didn't wait long at all for the food. Best part is sitting near the window with a great view of Times Square. Can't wait to go back.

I have been here 17 times. I love it. When I first went, I didn't want to go, I wanted to go to another place in NYC. But I swear, when I got there, it rocked my socks! The food was excellent, service was great, and it was overall hilarious! Like when I went there last year for my birthday, my mom pointed it out to the waitress, who later on had me stand on a chair and announced to the restaraunt, "KAITLYN TOLD ME SHE WANTED TO DANCE ON BROADWAY! SO WERE GONNA SING OUR BIRTHDAY SONG AND SHE'S GONNA DANCE!" I had to stop dancing in the middle of the song because I was laughing too hard, then I had to pose with a fake pony. Then there are signs that say "RUN FORREST RUN" or "STOP FORREST STOP" That you use to flag down a waitstaff. Just watch the movie "Forrest Gump" before you go, or else they'll get the restaruant to boo you :D!!!

Wife and I visited the restaurant on Sun Oct 18th 2009. The food and service was very good. You certainly pay for the location/atmosphere because otherwise, even for NYC, the fried shrimp is well overpriced. You go for the fun and atmosphere, not value.

This is your typical times square area restaurant: expensive prices (2 people = $60? for just two entrees and an app) but decent food. To be honest, we were looking for less of a fried, breaded shrimp place but this was good nonetheless. The environment was REALLY FUN and I think it's a great place to go with kids or a significant other just to have fun. I loved the atmosphere. The waiters and waitresses are super-friendly. But yea, other than the expensive and the over-stress on fried shrimp, it was really good!

This place is a great hot spot for dining after hanging out in the city...the prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. The waiters are very personable and do their best to make your dining experience worthwhile. The wait time is miniml and the atmosphere is lively!
