    Cold day, warm lunch

It was cold a cold day. Somehow I think of Bryant Park Grill as a perfect summer restaurant. But it was just as great on this cold, cold day. We had a nice window seat and it was like being in a warm garden and watching the city move by cold and bundled. I had a hot chocolate, an outstanding bean soup and vegetable ravioli. All was delicious and a perfect winter meal. The service was perfect, attentive, but never intrusive. Professional in a way only a seasoned food server can offer. Of course you are in Bryant Park and the big glass windows give you a view of the people and park as you enjoy great food and great service and oh yes, it's warm and cozy on a cold day.

    Disappointing Brunch

The brunch menu was very limited (5 items!) and the food itself was just gross. My hollandaise sauce was congealed. Actually, 3 of the 5 people in my party got the Eggs Benedict, since there were so few menu choices, and all our sauces were congealed. The two who got omelets also complained that they were nothing special. Just because you serve stacked eggs, and have an admittedly nice atmosphere, doesn't make them taste good. I've had better food at my corner greasy spoon.

    A Great Brunch

Had been to the park a number of times but never stopped in for a meal.Big mistake. It was a wonderful day.Outside seating was the best. The food and service were all very good. The waiter was also very good.He was there when needed and not when he was not needed.I will certainly return. My wife said this was a great Birthday gift. The park is also very beautiful and well kept.A great way to spend a few hours on a Saturday afternoon.

    Perfect duck!

I went here with my mom the other day and I can't stop raving about it. We had the tuna tartare as an appetizer. It was kind fo small for 2 people, but probably a good thing since our entrees were so large. I ordered the duck and I was served the most delicious duck I have ever had. It was served with an apricot corn bread stuffing, poached pear, fresh cranberries and roasted carrots. I could not stop eating because I was just amazed at how delicious the meal was. I recommend this place highly! Oh and the wait staff was very attentive and friendly.

Restaurant in "Julie & Julia" movie.

I had lunch here and my salad came in about five minutes! Not sure if it was already prepared but even the waiter was surprised when he delivered it. I enjoyed the salad. My MIL had the grilled eggplant sandwich which wasn't so good. She said "it tasted like it was made with Ragu sauce". We had a table next to the window. It was fun to look at Bryant Park and people watch.

    very nice lunch

I ate here for lunch today with a couple female friends, and we all loved it. The restaurant is beautiful and spacious and has a calming atmosphere. The food was delicious, and our waitress was very nice. If you order iced tea, they refill it during the meal as if it's coffee or water. The calamari/avocado salad was surprisingly good, and the bananas for bananas dessert was everything you could ever want. It's an expensive restaurant, but if you have the money and want a nice lunch, I recommend it.
