Not worth it
Completely overpriced and service is ALWAYS under-par. It seems no matter what time of day you go in there there is ALWAYS chaos and the staff is ALWAYS rude to their patrons as well as each other! Not to mention, there STILL isn't even a spot to set your coffee down while you add your own milk and sugar to your average cup of coffee. Not worth it AT ALL...

Amazing Food!
Brownstein's has one of the most interesting menus for take-out food. It's refreshing to have a better choice than the standard take-out fare. I have had a variety of dishes there and they have always been delicious! When they first opened the service was a bit slow, but it has vastly improved since then. The quality of the food has always been high! Thanks, Brownsteins, for providing great food for the neighborhood!

Tiny Portions for BIG Bucks
Brownsteins food is decent enough. The problem is that you get miniscule amounts for hefty prices. $8 is a lot for a box of veggies, so please, Brownsteins, fill that baby up! Service also a real minus.

Love Brownstein's Cafe!
As the studio manager of a busy photo studio we order lunch delivered practically daily, quite often from Brownstein's. The food is really good, very different from other neighborhood spots, always fresh & very tasty. We particularly like the the Boozy Chicken salad and the Pomegranate marinated Turkey sandwich! I don't know about the other reviews, but I've never had a problem with the delivery service and the people who answer the phone are always courteous to us.

in and out
After several visits I am happy to report that our neighborhood has a great new spot for a stop. So far I've had meals in the morning and afternoon and all have been great. love the pomegranate turkey on ciabatta, loved the boozy chicken idea! We ordered in this past weekend for 5 and it it was at our door in 20 min and the salads were still fresh & tasty (something I have been disappointed with when ordering takeout elsewhere) Service was prompt and friendly and it's close enough to work to take a break and regroup. Great to have them in the neighbood!

Poor Service
I don't think I have ever encountered such poor service. And I'm glad to see that other people agree. I don't understand how a business can care so much about their food and atmosphere, and then hire such inexperienced and rude people to represent them. Delivery takes forever, and when you go t here in person it takes about 20 minutes for them to make a single sandwich. Also, the staff gives me blank stares whenever I order an item directly from the menu. And then I have to remind them - "It's right there on your menu!" So frustrating. If the choices weren't so limited in this neighborhood, I would vow never to go back to Brownsteins.
