    Avoid Take Out

I ordered take out and when I got home the sides were missing. I called the restaurant and asked them to send them to me. As soon as possible turned out to be an hour later. When the deliveryman arrived he tried to charge me and had the wrong sides. I was then told it was very busy because of the big game. The manager kindly gave me a credit but my meal was ruined.

    Good food, reasonable prices, friendly

We had a large table here. Waitress was a little too perky but informative. Service was pretty good. Food was as ordered. Clean plates all around and plenty of leftovers. Excellent potato salad! Music a bit on the loud side, but can't beat the price, location, quality and speed as we were in a bit of a hurry.

    Poor Choice for Delivery

Do not order delivery from this place. They are not set up to handle take out orders. We live only 4 blocks away and it took us 2 hours to get our food, and when it arrived it was ice cold. Save yourself the aggravation and order somewhere else.

    BBQ-msg style

The ONLY reason you might consider this place is if you are going to MSG and you know all the places around stink and you feel like ordinary BBQ. Best idea is skip it and have a dog and beer at MSG. The service here isn't very good. Food is ok but not cheap.

    Don't waste your time

On Labor Day, I wanted beef ribs from my fav barbecue place, but unfortunately, Blue Smoke was closed for the holiday. Having heard that Brother Jimmy's had recently opened, I went in. They didn't have beef ribs, only pork, and they hadn't gotten around to setting up delivery yet, so I placed my order for pork ribs and did takeout. When I got it home and tasted the ribs (which supposedly were the biggest, best ones), I couldn't believe how awful they were - practically inedible! I wound up throwing them away, along with the menu, and had to settle for something else for dinner. I was bummed, but know I'll never never order from this place again. What a waste of space in a neighborhood that's dying for something good to open.

    take it from a southerner

We really didn`t enjoy the food. Tasted like out of a can. Great service! Noisy...If you want a young bar scene, you`ll enjoy. We didn`t enjoy the Brunswick stew or the pulled pork. The sides didn`t taste homemade.

Fire Fries and Apple Crumb Pie

The pulled pork sandwhich was good, I enjoyed it but have had better at other BBQ places in the city. That being said, the Fire Fries were excellent - not too spicy - they were hot and fresh and had kick. The Apple Crumb Pie was awesome! Order it with ice cream and it's just glorious. I'd go for just for a slice of the pie, it was that good!
