Delivery was the slowest I've ever encountered and I live a few blocks away. With the unexpected wait time I expected the food to be great and I was very disappointed that everything appeared to have lacked proper preparation. The food lacked soul. I'm not sure how they are actually calling it southern/soul food. The chicken was very dry, the yams were not good, the greens were gritty as if they had not been cleaned. The cornbread wasnt even good. The ribs lacked flavor and were dry also. I hope that the other locations have better chefs.

    The Sweet Spot

I have been coming to this place for a couple of years now and there are always a few things to expect. The food is always consistently great. The wings are awesome and the ribs are literally fall off the bone. It's always busy in there but rarely is there a wait. The eclectic music during the dining hours is also a huge draw and the latenight music, with girls dancing on the bar, keeps you there until you either fall down from too much Jameson or the sun rises. It is one of my favorite haunts. This place is the real and doesn't try to be anything it isn't.

Took 1.5 hours for delivery!!! Not cool

Eaten there before and it was fine however, It took a delivery 1.5 hours and the food was luke warm-cold...after reheating it tasted fine but that is just ridiculous. I Not recommended

The waitress was very nice but it stopped there. The tap beer was stale and flat. The ribs, which they are supposed to be famous for, were fatty and lacked taste. The chicken was drier than Sahara Desert. To make matters worse the ambience wasn't good and the bathrooms were unclean and unfinished.

Great place to eat, drink, watch sports

This place does not pretend to be anything it isn't. The food is good, not great. It has good beer on tap and often has specials. They always have a few good sports events on. And the waitresses are very attractive!

    Good "Southern" food

The service was above average, as was the food. The service did slow down a bit as the crowd increased, but still acceptable. Excellent server. Typical BBQ Menu. Only complaint: "Hot" wings were actually mild (by Buffalo/Rochester standards).

    Update--still pretty good

Revisited twice in past month. Sure, the food is not the best BBQ ever known to man...but it's still pretty good and a fair value (a bargain before prices went up). I do not think their chicken fried steak is the best I've ever had--but it's fine. Their ribs have a different rub--so some may not like it. Yup, everything is extremely salty, but as Woody Allen said--you get a lot of it. The sides are still great (fries, mash, okra, corn, etc.). There are still some promotional nights that are true bargains, but kids no longer eat free.
