Across the Board, Average. But...
Bar-B-Que is another one of those tasty things in New York that we're sadly lacking quality places of. Over the last 5 to 7 years, the Barbeque bar has definitely been raised with places like Dinosaur, Hill Country and Rack & Soul. Places like Brother Jimmy's is pretty good, and if you're really in the mood, can be very good. This place is really two-faced. Half the time it's a college drunk fest, and half the time it's a family rib joint. Depending on when you go, you can get the corresponding service (which tends to overlap). I like the ribs here and the sides are OK. Toss back a beer or two and heck, I can't complain. Don't plan on being transported to Memphis though.

Price went up-quality went down
Our takeout the mac and cheese was disappointing. Cold and barley any cheese. My wife added a Velvetta slice and put it in the microwave which made it a little better. and the rest of the overall meal was mediocre at best. We're giving this BJs a six month break to see if it improves.

Over the Top Bad Attitude
I've lived on the Upper East Side for years and, the few times (2 or 3) I've bothered to check out the place, each time I was offered the worst table in the house, and denied by the hostesses or waitresses a different table, even when I asked. So I've walked out each time. If it happened once, I wouldn't write a negative review, but since it's happened over and over again, this place deserves to hear about it. What ever happened to putting your customers first? Not like there aren't a million other choices in the neighborhood with better food and zero 'tude. Also, the scene inside is a reason why I've only even bothered to check out the place a handful of times in many years living on the UES. This place belongs on a hat-to-the-back wearing college campus.

Great bar for the best conference in the country the ACC. We always have blast here watching games, throwing a few back and chowing down.

Really raised prices...
I understand that the economy is bad and warrents some price increases to keep business' going, but Brother Jimmy's is ridiculous. They raised almost every dish by $2. That's a lot for supposedly "down home" bbq. Not worth it anymore. $2 ago I would have ordered, but not anymore.
